Is there a way to launch server without installing GUI steam client? Where to put steamclient.so to server binary loads it? -

Can u please explain: 1) steam launcher - GUI application? I don't have GUI on my server (and don't want to) 2) steamappid.txt - what should be inside this file? Just applicationID or additional login/license information? -

I'm lost after this patch released... I tried to upgrade server, but without success. What i see present time: clean install of arma2oa server to separate folder, steam modules from first message of this thread are also there, steamCMD installed too, with its help installed arma2oa app (Id 33935). Server binary doesn't want to run. ./server: error while loading shared libraries: libsteam_api.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory libsteam_api.so is in the same folder with server binary. I have no idea, how to deal with it. Anyone can advise me? ---------- Post added at 21:32 ---------- Previous post was at 20:18 ---------- Well, i've won issue above by copying libsteam_api.so to /lib/i386-linux-gnu/ folder, but now i'm stuck on [s_API FAIL] SteamAPI_Init() failed; SteamAPI_IsSteamRunning() failed. [s_API FAIL] SteamAPI_Init() failed; unable to locate a running instance of Steam, or a local steamclient.so. How to solve it? Is this a bug in libsteam_api.so, which always tries to search running steam process? I'm running non-GUI Debian 64-bit, kernel 2.6.32, if it helps.
