This question was asked a long time ago and with all the changes I figured it would be safe to ask again. Is it possible, in vanilla or a mod, to have two players control a UAV; one flying the other operating the turret? Real life this is the case. Thanks.

@vaxoiva I use MapPuzzle: http://www.mappuzzle.se/ If you want great detail, you still have to piece things together in GIMP/PS but The end result is still worth it in my opinion. -
I use Map Puzzle, http://www.mappuzzle.se/ , for my satellite maps. You can zoom in pretty close. Down side is you still have to do some piecing together with GIMP or PS if you want high quality images, but it is worth it in my opinion.

And to answer #3, you need to size your sat image to a certain size (not sure the size right now) and change it to .paa using texview in the tools. Once you have that, place the file in a certain location in your project (again not sure as I am not at my PC) and then update the config with the proper info. There a lot of tutorials on YouTube to get you the answere.

For your first question there are two possible solutions. First is change the mask color under these items to something that doesn't have clutter attached to it. The other solution is to use the clutter cutter object (not sure exactly where it is, but if you are using xCam you can search for it.

I have been noticing addons/missions that have some backpacks attached to the bed of the pick-up trucks. How is this accomplished? I have tried searching for "arma 3 attach backpack truck" and other ways and still can't find the answer. Also, when this is done is it able to remove the backpack from the truck so that someone can wear it? Thanks!

@stormoffires If I remember correctly I was playing around with this in the debug console, as seen in the imgur link, but you can easily add this to the INIT block of the Offroad. Just name Offroad myCar or change "myCar" in the script to "this" removing the " of course. Now what I didn't figure out, and maybe someone can add to this, is how to fill the bags with gear. Enjoy! I'm glad I was able to develop something someone else sees as useful. -
I have found that l3dt uses gray scale for elevation data. I did some playing around with different shades and what elevations they produced and it worked like I thought. If you were to export your hightfield data from the two projects, use GIMP/PS to cut/paste what you want, that may work. If you pulled the masks and sat images too and cut/paste from the same places, that may speed up the process with the rest. Just a thought. I have never done it myself.

I just picked up all the Arma games from the sale. I plan to play them at some point, but right now I want to use assets for my terrain. Which ones should I install first to get them pulled into my work drive? I'm guessing Arma 2 and Arma Gold Edition. Thanks.

You are correct as to why you can't post yet. I am not sure how many replies you have to do first before you can post your own. I had the base Arma3 for a while before upgrading to anything. There are a ton of mods out there that can get you the same, if not better, things in game. A friend bought me Apex and I waited till the DLC bundle was on super sale to get all the rest. Hope this helps. -

I read in a different thread that XCam can be used for co-op mission editing at the same time. Is this true and if so how? Thanks. -

In the Mapframe properties, under Processing, there is a spot that says 6 materials. I went from 4 to 6 when I was having a problem with my mask looking correct on my terrain and it fixed it. -
I am looking to make a mission that spans over a "few days." The idea is when we get to, or complete, a certain objective, a trigger will be activated and time will fast-forward to a different time/date. That part I think I can figure out. Here is where I don't know. When the new day starts, the idea is for more objects, like a new FOB, will spawn in during the faded out black screen. Now, I'm sure we will have to basically make multiple missions just to get the placements figured out, but the scripting is where I am not sure of. Any guides or help with this will be great. Thanks!

@Grumpy Old Man, not sure what you want for a Topic. Perhaps it should read Mission Script Help. If there is a way for me to change the topic, please let me know since I don't. R3vo gave me some great info, which I used, however since I am still learning what all this code means, I don't know the difference between global and non-global terms. It would be great if you could explain in basic terms. If I had a dedicated server to just test things out, I would have. I know many people that read these posts do have them and know how to write code that works. I do want to script this; never said I didn't. This is a .SQF and NOT a .SQS If it looks like a SQS to you, then perhaps you can help me. Thanks.
