In an effort to improve my limited piloting skills, I decided to see how fast I could circle the entire island of Altis, following the coastline as best I could. It didn't turn out the way I planned :D Post your best times! **New Video 23/10/13**

I have created a rather simple "mission" for those looking to improve their flying abilities. (Thanks to RogueTrooper for the idea!) Basically it involves flying from waypoint to waypoint, staying under a predetermined height (currently set at 30m). If you exceed this height, you will have a massive heart attack and die ;) It starts from the upper right of Altis, and goes (somewhat) diagonally to bottom left, passing some sightseeing checkpoints along the way :) If you fly below 3m, you will get a "nice flying" encouragement! I am using it as my own personal time trial, starting the timer after i pass the "Start" checkpoint, and stopping after the "End" checkpoint is passed. If anyone would like to try it, I'll be happy to upload it or put it on Steam, and would love to see some of your efforts with it! (I am in no way a mission creator, so don't expect much, but I am learning!) This is version 1, in version 2 I'd like to have each checkpoint marked with smoke, and maybe even incorporating a random checkpoint system :) I'll upload a video of this new time trial shortly, although I keep crashing and haven't made it to the end yet hehe! Although I am trying to stay under 5m all the time...if I am more liberal with my flying height, I'm sure I could pass it easily!

Hi all. I hate having to post this. I'm the type who likes to find the answer himself and not have to bother other people, but for the life of me, I cant figure this out and am feeling overwhelmed. I'm trying to make a "mission" to improve my flying skills where I have to pass a series of "checkpoints". Not in a certain time or anything, but when i get to the last checkpoint, I must've passed over all other checkpoints to end. I'd also like it to have a rule where I cannot fly higher than 50m. I honestly don't know where to start! Is there any documentation for the editor? Thanks!

Yeh, I get this too, but it still works so I didn't think anything of it. I can't wait till I learn a little more about the editor to make a mission with these guys! -

How to get the most out of ARMA 3 singleplayer?

From what I am learning, there are a few ways that you can make a mission with random events/locations etc, so even if you make them yourself, you wont know exactly what is going to happen. They can change the game a fair bit! -
Sorry mate, I wasn't aware. I'll delete from the Vid forum :) That sounds like a great idea, except I don't know how to implement those conditions! :) Using a 360 controller, I find it sooo much easier!

Hi all I hope this is the right place to put this, it seemed the best fit so forgive me if it should be somewhere else. This is just my idea of a new game mode, feel free to add to it! Now I've just learnt how to add a player in the editor, so I won't have the know-how to even attempt this, nor if my ideas are even possible. If someone does have the experience to start this, feel free! Mode name: Hunter/Hunted Basic rundown: Ratio of players, maybe 1 hunter/3 hunted Hunter: has assault rifle (maybe possibly be able to choose class? sniper/support etc?) with a generous number of magazines, has map etc, no armour, no NVG. Has 1 vehicle that is usable to him. if this vehicle is destroyed, he cannot use another. He is not able to pick up additional ammo/items. Grouped with other hunters so they know where other hunters are. able to speak to other hunters via group chat Hunted: has no weapons, no items. Can find weapons/items in ammo crates (locked to hunters) scattered randomly throughout island, maybe only pistols/submachine gunes/explosives?. no vehicles available to him. not grouped with other hunted, can talk via direct. can use weapons/items picked up from dead hunters. Basically, the hunters will be overpowered compared to the hunted, but hunted can pick up items that give them an advantage. eg medkits, NVG, explosives etc. maybe even armoured vests etc To win, either all hunters or all hunted are killed. Please add to if you have some more ideas I think this could make for an exciting game mode!
