    I get this error when firing the 53-OCh-540 WP rounds and nothing happens in terms of impact: Script WarFXPE\ParticleEffects\scripts\WPTrail.sqf not found

  4. I'm not sure if this is your side of things or RHS but I'll ask you first> What are the 3VDF93 & 3VS-23 rounds for the RHS 2S3M SPA? I figured out the rest by testing but these I'm not sure about as nothing landed on the target. I tried both at night in case they were illum rounds but I couldn't see any illum viewing from Zeus over a wide area.     Its a reference to where it was designed. I'm sure it isn't official but its used as a reference in training the same as SA80 was for L85A1. We used to refer to rifles as 'gats' as well, and still do, but hey, what can you do? I'm sure the whats better debate could last forever in terms of protection so I'll agree to disagree :)

    The lack of coverage on the Warriors Chobham is just to protect the driver btw nothing more. The lower hull plate on the front of the Bradley has no additional protection either.

    Ah, fair enough. It was more the helmet display I was thinking for the SU-35S really. Good to hear you're workbg with RHS. But yes, not much info available on Russian stuff :confused: I'd imagine the RL Mi-28 & KA-52 would have some kind of HMD though.

    Looks like a great mod. I'll be testing it out on our Mi-48s shortly. Hopefully you can work with RHS on some HUD coolness. Have you any plans to do something for the JS_JC_SU-35S ? An improved HUD and helmet system would be awesome however I'm not entirely sure what kind of system the Russians use.

    No way Bradleys can shoot down evading SU-35S's. I don't buy it. Infantry are trained to shoot down low flying helis and aircraft with MG's but that doesn't mean anything in real world applications. If the RL Bradley was that good then they wouldn't have spent the cash on the AA variant or any other low to medium altitude AA. Bradley spam for the win. By extension an Abrams would be able to do the same also. I get shot down, assuming I'm spotted by the AI, as various distances and heights. Put it this way, nothing else can touch me when I'm jinking apart from the Bradleys 25mm cannon. Some 25mm rounds miss but i put that down to the skill level of the AI. Its more effective than proper AA cannon fire. Thers no counter for it either. Try it. Put an infantry section plus Bradley down plus Abrams and an A10. I bet you the Bradleys gets you. ---------- Post added at 20:36 ---------- Previous post was at 20:31 ---------- Can anyone tell me what these rounds actually are in terms of He, Illum etc: 53-VDF-27 53-OCh-540 3VDF93 53-VD-546 3VS-23 They show as these designations under Drongos Arty mod and they look like Russian designations.

    Hi, Does anyone know of a mod that allows a laser designator painted target to show on an aircraft HUD? I see the FT-2 mod does it but is there a stand alone mod that'll make this work with vanilla and add on heli's and fixed wing? Heres a vid of what I'm talking about but its part of a FT-2 package which i dont want:

    Guys, I'm not complaining or anything but its an observation we've made in our GU. I thought we were maybe taking to long to aquire a target or just being crap but even in a SU-35S, after destroying an Abrams I have thrown CM banked an gained altitude and been shot down by a Bradley. This happens everytime unless I omit the Bradleys. I need to test it the other way i.e BMP vs Apache but as we're a Russian themed unit without AI it hasn't been a concern. Thanks :)

    Ok, I though it was the latest variant that had FCS. It says in the link provided that a gunner engages using the co ax MG for aircraft. I've yet to see any evidence that would suggest that kind of accuracy against an evading heli with the 25mm regardless of FCS. There's a reason the AA variant has stingers after all. In game stingers aren't really an issue with CM and warning system. The FCS is optimised for ground targets not AA anyway.

    Yeah, but the Bradleys are a little too good at bringing down helis. Fair enough they miss the first few shots but at that ROF is goodnight for the heli. In real life a Warrior IFV wouldn't be able to target a heli like that. The gunnery would have to be some really advanced automated system. The last time I was in a turret cage is was a Raven sight and fine adjustments were made using little wheels to aim. I'd imagine the Bradley uses a similar system that isn't automated and therefore not as good as it is in game. I have no issue with the Bradley agaisnt ground targets. I haven't even tried the AA Bradley. Whats the point when the IFV version is so good?

    The Bradleys seem very OP to me. The 25mm gun elevation seems very high when I'm being shot to bits in a heli :/
  19. Made a simple mission on Altis on our server. One player RHS Russian, platoon of BM21 and Platoon of ZS3s. ZS3's seem to work ok but got stuck when the pointed to the target. No rounds fired and no fire mission. The BM-21's all signed off after confiming the fire mission as 'impossible shot' then 'rounds complete'. Same thing happened when map clicked also.

  22. Everything works fine apart from manual input on Bornholm for some reason (server and editor). Altis & Stratis work great now but its still map click on Bornholm :/ A bit odd but I can live with it. The main thing is all the OPFOR stuff is working perfectly.

    Cool, some 45th Spetsnaz would be awesome. Alpha Group is at the top of my infantry wish list from you guys. Happy to wait though.
