    WW2 maps

Main issue is there are no WW2 objects to use, I wanted to create a snow map but again i can't create the objects, so my terrain uses A3 objects and a few walls and farm buildings from A2. I'd also like to do a medieval themed terrain.
  2. From previous threads like this, who think Steam will then claim ownership of peoples work and make money from it, it's the authors choice where they have their work hosted but i see the workshop as a positive feature.
  3. Use Alt & Tab, you can then hit the close box in the top right, you know when launching if it will work, mine sometimes takes several launches, if you see the grey box then it'll fail.
  4. I use and like the workshop, when my terrain is finished i intend to publish it there. It's simple to use, automatically pushes updates and i'm not part of the tin foil hat brigade that belive Steam is evil.
  5. Have a look at TADST, it should have all you need, although you don't actully say what you want to change.
  6. Check your BD logs, might shed some light on what's going wrong
  7. The bigger the terrain and the more objects you place the longer BD takes to load, i usually launch it and make a coffee or have a smoke, it's done by the time i return.
  8. Screen shots look stunning, nice work guys and good luck.
  9. How many objects do you have down ? My BD runs fine (well it takes around 10 minutes to launch) with around 800k objects placed.
  10. Going to give this a quick bump, we're still looking for 1 or 2 people to join us with object placement, if you're handy with the editor, MapBuilder or xCam then get in touch. The quicker we get some towns and cities built, the sooner we can release :)
  11. Mikeros tools only alter the Arma files (The a3 folder found in your P drive), i've never known mine to alter anything else.
  12. That setting is Arma 2, you posted in the Arma 3 section, so my answer was for Arma 3

    [WIP] Terrain - Santo

    Good luck buddy :)
  14. That's not true, you can have as many as you want, you can't exceed 5 per tile though, tile size is in your mapframe properties and includes the overlap.

    Map Bozcaada

Congrats on the release, looks very nice :)
  16. Not every object, just the template properties of each model, like so :
  17. Are you using TerranBuilder to do this ? If you are the sent the Yaw + & - to 180, that will randomise the direction 180 degrees in each direction, you'll have to do this with every bush or tree you want rotated. You can also use TerrainProcessor, just export the shape and that allows you to have different scale and more control over what type is placed the most, more bushes than trees etc
  18. We started with the sat and trimmed the height data to match perfectly, PS has a tool to generate a mask from a sat, I forget what it's called as i don't do images, generating the mask from the sat allows fields to have different textures when moving through them. There's probably other ways, what ever suits you best :)

    Saint Kapaulio Terrain [W.I.P]

If only there were more objects to choose from though, that is the issue most terrain builders face. Personally i think it looks awesome, he used what he has very well.
  21. Have you guys abandoned this ? no videos anymore and your website is offline. I was hoping to make a new terrain just for this mod.
  22. That's normal, it's an area that is perfectly flat.

    Error Logs?

Have a look at his client side .rpt log, that should say what's going wrong, server side .rpt will just say he was kicked, it might give more info. When does he get kicked ? can he join the lobby ?

    Ravage

I like the Steam workshop, updates are done automagically, I have many workshop addons with more than 1 .pbo file, Epoch is 14 x .pbo files plus bisigns and other files.
