I'm confident that they'll change this later as they have already with the Kriss Vector, etc. I'd rather have the weapons reskinned (for now) than not have them at all.

I agree that they are putting effort in to the game. Sure, the reskinned vehicles, weapons, etc. are disappointing, but it's still much better than not having them at all, and I expect that they'll reconcile this issue at some point, but most of us can agree that performance issues, etc. are a bit more important. The reason for the removal of the openable doors is due to hitbox issues. It wouldn't be suitable for early release since this would become a problem in multiplayer. However, I would like to see earlier content that wouldn't have such large issues.

Also note that the vehicle-mounted HMG/GMG for the Hunter, Ifrit, Strider, armed speedboats, etc. are all reskinned as well.
