ArmA 3 Black Screen/Display Drivers Stopped Working?

Maybe this is related to a video memory leak problem, as I have reported here: http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?159906-POSSIBLE-MAJOR-BUG-with-BETA-0-74-and-since-dev-of-24-07-2013-Video-memory-leak
  2. HW: Cooler Master HAF X NVIDIA EDITION Asus Crosshair V Formula + AMD FX-8350 + Asus/Zotac GTX580 SLI + 8GB of Samsung 30nm DDR3 | Caviar Black 3TB SATA III RAID0 | Win7x64 Latest NVIDIA driver available. Suddenly (more if you open and close map fast) one GPU (usually during gameplay they are at about 60% usage each) goes like hell to 100% usage (I have seen through MSI Afterburner) and game freezes. I tried also to switch the cards, same result (of course in the other card this time). Sometimes it shows video driver stopped working. No other problems in other games of course. Thanks. Goodbye.

    General Discussion (dev branch)

It seems quite a bit the same.

    General Discussion (dev branch)

POSSIBLE MAJOR BUG since latest DEV branch - VIDEO MEMORY LEAK? HW: Cooler Master HAF X NVIDIA EDITION Asus Crosshair V Formula + AMD FX-8350 + Asus/Zotac GTX580 SLI + 8GB of Samsung 30nm DDR3 | Caviar Black 3TB SATA III RAID0 | Win7x64 Latest NVIDIA driver available. 5. Hi! I am an Arma player since years and actually I am a bit disappointed in seeing the same hacks as Arma 2, so it seems little has been done @this front. Anyway. I would like to report two different hacks I have encountered: FIRST ONE, well-known teleport hack, but I am sure someone said it should be fixed now. Well, it's not: http://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/576740211026308480/5390C62850C94848889190B3177FF16637A981DD/ SECOND ONE, server hack? of some sort? I can't understand well actually but it doesn't seem very legit to me: http://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/576740413717560701/58500F739C5CABAD80CC15E2DF83759F11FCA5ED/ I will post servers just if asked by BI. ______________________________ About High FPS servers I have seen around the multiplayer browser... yeah perhaps they have a little more FPS than other servers but this result is always obtained through: - lowering view distance - removing grass (yeah, all) - other graphics "artifices" This seems too strange to me. So the only way to obtain high fps is through removing features? Isn't this s little sign of lack of optimization? JMTC Thanks. Goodbye.
  6. I have this PC: https://fbcdn-sphotos-b-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-prn2/981450_10151943494638989_1665880673_o.jpg (169,07 KB) Great score and I can play Metro Last Light\Battlefield 3\alltherest very very good, not Arma3 btw (forest: 45-55FPS, mid: 35-45FPS, cities: 30-35FPS). Please optimize it for multi-cores CPUs Thanks. Goodbye.

Low CPU utilization & Low FPS

Yeah I know, but since Arma II to Arma III they had all the time to make it and they choose not to do it, so I at least show my disappointment. And all the people that bought the game should do it.

Low CPU utilization & Low FPS

Is this really Arma III? Or is it Operation Flashpoint³ or Arma II²? Yeah, I have all of them (and I bought them of course) and I did it with Arma III Alpha too because I thought Behemia Intercative could learn from past mistakes. Well, actually I was wrong, I hoped that the "III" in that number meant BI finally started to thought how to make its game (yeah it's just one actually) really a modern game, with full CPU(\GPU) support and whatsoever. Nothing changed in this front. Arma III is damn hard as Arma II was, with a little more polished graphics, yeah, but with the same lack of hardware support. Now, the two screenshots you all know proving it: http://i.imgur.com/USKkvXQ.jpg http://i.imgur.com/R9KuQPR.jpg As you can see QUAD cores @same frequencies go exactely the same as ESA or EIGHT-cores CPUs. So the game can at max use 4-cores. And that means that for DayZ standalone too (seeing both Arma II and III have the same support) it will be just the same! We are in 2013 and we paid for a brand new game, actually it have the same price but also the same limits (great, big limits and I can say it because I played it more than 300+ houres) of your old Arma II. This just sucks. I won't for sure buy new hardware just for playing your game because you didn't spend any resources in its real optimization. Just I won't buy anything more from you. Just my two cents and the honest opinion of a disappointed customer. I am sorry, I didn't see this thread before (and BI of course closed mine). Anyway I think here the argument is a little different. Here someone of you are trying to understand why you are having low FPS given the game and how to try to optimize it. This problem from my point of view is really clear: - the game doesn't bother of core that exceed the number of 4 and we can't do anything to optimize it seeing it's an engine limitation and we can just try to make BI change the things.

  10. I know Arma 2 support just 4 cores\threads no matter the command line, that's why I asked the question actually, hoping that in two years they could have implemented a batter CPU\cores usage support. Thanks anyway for your reply.
  11. I think the question is already made in the title. Does TOH have the same multicore support as Arma 2:OA (so max 4-cores\threads) or does it support also esacores+ CPUs? If yes, is there any benchmark available showing the CPU usage? Thanks a lot. Goodbye. (Yes, I am doing this question also with respect to Dayz standalone CPU support).
  12. What does the "Test-" option in Arma 2: OA Beta (Steam) ->"Beta" tab mean? Should we partecipate to have the latest release (e.g. for Dayz) or not? Thanks. Goodbye. ---------- Post added at 11:07 ---------- Previous post was at 11:06 ---------- I mean this one: http://digilander.libero.it/m4puni/arma2oa_beta_on_steam_1.jpg (142 kB)
