  1. Some Feedback fro a causal Player Saving Game I wasn’t so convinced in the beginning, but after while it makes sense along the game’s narrative. The sleeping bag save works fine, if in distance to the enemy. Fast travel. It’s ok and appreciable, otherwise you are in a walking and driving simulator. Yet, it won’t work time by time from Oldman’s house. One detail to realism: Just have a fast travel button, but have the time at destination point adjusted to the time spend by regular travel by car. Murderous Furniture I got killed almost more often by a sofa, table ore a pallet than by any enemy, MUST be fixed! Even the Sofa killed me once at home before I could save the game. Sucked me right in, like a black hole. @ 109078 Pallet @ 135083 Table @ 136083 Table @ 124084 Sofa Looting Looting to build up a substantial cash reserve is a tedious task. Each single item must be picket up and stored in a car. Filling up a Truck is an extreme time-consuming undertaking. Not being much of a scripter a “loot all” function would be appreciable as looting is a major part of the game. (black market/ stash boxes/ buying medical supplies. Looting tip: Saving the game cause death enemies to disappear with all their inventory/ loot. Before saving take the enemies inventory and drop it again, then save the game (sleeping bag/ Save house). Bodies still disappear after save, but inventory remains on place to be picket up when time. Filling up the resistance stash boxes give about 2/3 of the pricing you get for the same item at the black market. However, filling the stash boxes raise the reputation with the resistance which in return accumulate a better buy / sell pricing at the black marked and provide with more missions. There is not much of a story to the game, you do your missions, Loot, supply the Dr. with Drugs, do some missions again. The freedom of the complete map and its action spots makes it worthwhile to log into it for an hr or so. End Game Not sure yet if an end game is planned, once the Malaria thread is solved there is not much to do except of continuing to lift check points. Dr. Dràbek The permanent notification Dr. Dràbek needs more medical supply is a bit annoying. And yes, he needs an infinite amount of it. I suppose this keeps on going until the malaria strain is found (by accident I suppose, as no hints are giving on the location) and the counteragent is brought to the Dr. to produce a permanent antidot. Proposal for notification: make it as an urgent message when the remaining time has come down to 2 hrs. left. Check points Working all right for me, if approached in car correctly. But there is a logic drop trough. If approaching in civil clothing, but loot stored in the car inventory you are under immediate fire which renders the drone scan at the check point basically obsolete. If loot is not openly visible than it is not visible, period. Radio message after detection by enemy. The voice loop is utterly distracting after a while “we have an enemy at 4 o’ Clock.” Could be solved by having the message once at first detection and after this just mark the area in the map as with mine fields. A final radio voice “we have lost the enemy” once your leave out of the area. Refueling Refueling is at any gas station possible, just not that cheap. Known issue: Finally change the action menu. Placing a satchel charge while intending to open a door is an old Issue and overdue to be fixed since ever. Overall: A nice single player game bringing back the attention to the Tanoa Map it deserved. After hours of play, I finally get know my neighborhood and the map in general.

    Next DLC and Expansion Speculation

I could not agree more. The civilian background live compared to OA is missing sharply. Surfers in a War zone…??, give me a break! About the initial Post….., Some nice work was going into this scenario…respect, but you will have to close out New Zealand and most probably Australia as well, as by 2035 most of mineral mines will be in hand of Chinese based company’s (legally) and the economically interests and benefits Australia gains from its growing ties to china will prevent any direct involvement. For the rest, by 2035, just 20 year from now, direct military conflicts will be fought out by UAV’s of various kinds exclusively, foot soldiers will come to task for occupying after battle and upholding order in occupied areas. Anyways, the drawn scenarios are somewhat more realistic than A3’s Iranians on a Greece island…, just thinking about it makes falling out of the chair. Whereas A2OA I cannot praise highly enough for its utter realistic settings in mapping and content. Considering the way they have to take; via Irak or Turkey. Bypassing if not overrun Israel ( Rofl here). Possible RL conflict zones with a possible military engagement in 2035 could be Pakistan- India. Certainly resource conflicts in Africa. In 2025 the US will be independent from foreign energy sources which puts SA under pressure looking out for new “friendsâ€, China? It will be highly doubtful the big players USA-China-Russia-EU ever will get in an all-out war ever. Proxy wars as usual happened in the cold era are out of fashion as the lines are not be draw between “friend and foe†so easily anymore by economical interest. As said, battles, large or small will be dealt with by UAV’s; asymmetric warfare already is taking over conventional large scale battles (mind the logistic) indicating more covert military operations without a UN backed declaration of war to the target nation. Pull out A2, the Ukraine conflict is the map of actuality. AO for Syria, NATO where close by enough to engage, yes I include the USF as part of NATO here. Which brings to mind the ArmA series is predominately suited for to set up reenactments in a VR diorama. James Bond – “You only live twice†would be a worthwhile mission on a Japanese Island. Just my 2 cents!

    UAVs: Feedback and wishes

Unlike the Greyhawk (air support, bombardment), Stomper/Saif RCWS action can’t be ordered via support module; artillery only for ground support. The Support module should have added UAV to it. Especially while using the darter on laser target designation it would come in handy to be able to set the way point for Stomper support directly, Greyhawk works fine with the darter single handed. It would make the vehicle as realistically autonomous as intended and be a helpful addition to the way point placement in the UVA terminal map. Bug: I can synchronize the Stomper/Saif to the support (supply) module and request them via action menu, but once in range the UAV eject the supply box on a paraglide, make a 50 ft pop in the air and both, box and UAV are on fire. Probably colliding with the helicopter setting of the module. Basically, extending the support module for all UVA’s should manage the issue.

    Feedback

Hey all, I experience ToM as very intuitive; you almost glide in the content and following task by exploring the station and its mission and research provisions. Working the tech tree is rather simple once you have your cornerstones. Such as step by step growth dealing carful with your investment resources, of course I made a excel sheet with all research entries to overview the need of instruments and vehicles in balancing tightly the financial resources available. A plus for the game this concept certainly is. So here is my feedback so fare: - Zooming in and out of the tech tree would be nice, it’s getting a bit odd running for and backwards to check and know where everything is you need for building and integrating to the vehicle. - Sending probes to mars is a bit of a click fest. Land on surface, disconnect and back to desk, from desk to Map from map to crater. I believe at least on step in between could be seen obsolete. Since I'm working one crater it would make rather sense to return direct to the specific crater map I was working once I disconnect. It would make the process it just a bit more fluent. - Issue on the Objectives; the cursor can’t hoover over the thumbnails in the objectives anymore after 30 -40 min of Gameplay. Its glued on the edges of the thumbnail, left click does open the info chard and sets the cruor free. The issue …on the whole objections list. - Program froze twice after 30 min., froze the key board too. Is there any possibility to launch the game in Windows mood? Steam offers it for A2/3 bit not on ToM. Would be much friendlier to my hardware during the testing of alpha. - Content: Once in the space program I can’t really tell if I’m already on Mars or on a Space station, which would make sense if so. If on Mars a marker on the mars globe should be added for global orientation. As for now just 15hr in the game/simulation I can say I do like the patient pace the game is taking for now, basically after 1 hr playtime you can call it the day. You complete the missions, and after programing the research for the “nightshiftâ€. Real time play only so, what I think is a very good implement to give a choice bearing a consequence. One thing I noticed, after a certain time of day I’m alone in the station and the KI “colleagues†appear too went for their quarters or the casino. If on purpose, it’s a nice touch of content realism I exactly would like to see to be kept and extended in the game. I was surprised by the editor trough and have expected something similar to the Arma2/3 editor. As I’m not too firm in scripting it remains at first glance strange to handle for me. But of course I’m in Alpha. Cheers Miklin
  5. Thanks…., much appreciated.
  6. Hello to all,... long time reader but first time posting. For a mission with a key element of disembarking a diver crew from a heli (HB) It appears the distance above water is fixed at 48m, on landmass -WP unload- works well with a mere 2m. The AI pilot persistently orders to disembark until command is followed by the player only as of course the AI’ give a “no can doâ€. I exhaust the editor for a workaround but no solution so fare, I wonder if I have overlooked a feature for individual landing height or a script would be required to fix it.
