  1. I just need a quick confirmation on this, in Alpha version 0.60, the TRG-21/20/21-EGLM did in fact change from 6.5mm caliber to 5.56mm caliber yes?
  2. I'd personally go with this motherboard http://www.amazon.co.uk/Asus-Motherboard-PCI-Express-CrossFireX-Intelligent/dp/B007KZQEGC but other than that, you're good to go.

The Fictional MX Rifle series, why?

I wouldn't mind the MX if it did have such a crazy kick-back. It should be somewhere where the TCR and Katiba are.
  4. With my specs (see my sig), I can run the game on the ultra preset with about 30-40 fps and on the very high preset at 55 fps.
  5. Dude, if you have the money, just upgrade to an HD7970 Ghz ed.

Which version will you be buying?

    Just the regular alpha version.

Which version will you be buying?

Is the digital deluxe worth it for the added digital maps and tactical guide though? Will those be an exclusive item for those who buy this deal or would those two things be something that you can purchase as an add-on?

Can I buy this after March 5th?

Question, if I buy Arma 3 alpha, I am also buying the full Arma 3 game when it comes out? So in other words, I'm buying the game for a low low price? ;)

    ArmA 3 System Requirements

My suggestion would to switch to a one card solution, that being, go from have two 7970s in CF to just one 7970 preferably a ghz edition. The reason being is that, unless you are planning on playing games on three monitors or playing on a 30in 2650x1600 monitor, there's very little need for it. That and many times, you will face issues from using two cards; though with new(er) drivers those issues do get solved. Also, do you plan on overclocking your CPU? Not that you really need to or should, I would use the money saved from getting rid of that second graphics card to maybe a beefier heatsink or even an AIO watercooling solution such as the Corsair H80 or the Kraken X40. Ivy bridge cpus tend to run a bit hot, especially when overclock and a better cooling solution wouldn't hurt.

Well, what's your budget? I'd go with either a 660ti or a 670 or a Radeon HD 7950. As far as a monitor goes, how much are you willing to spend on that? There are many that I could recommend such as the Dell Ultrasharp 23in 1920X1080 monitor or the Dell Ultrasharp 24in 1920X1200 monitor or the BenQ XL2420T 24in 1920X1080 120hz monitor. Not hard to do the research on that. Also, get a 650w power supply and maybe change the CPU to an i7-3770 or an i5-3570. Note that, you don't need the K (unlocked) versions of the CPUs since tbh, it isn't all that important or all that beneficial to overclock a cpu.

I don't see why it wouldn't but why would you be using one?

Are you going to upgrade because of ARMA 3?

I would really recommend upgrading to the GTX 660 Ti when it comes out later this month. Just save up a good $350 starting from now till you have it the money. No hurry of course, just save 20 bucks here and there.

Are you going to upgrade because of ARMA 3?

There are some earlier posts discussing RAM and what frequency speed to buy them in, and for the record, what one REALLY wants to look at is the timing. Chances are, 8gb of ram at 1333 BUT with a time of 7-7-7-21 will actually be better than RAM with a frequency of 1600 but with a time of 9-9-9-24. ArmA 3 System Requirements

Arma 3 was built to play at MAX settings on a first generation Intel Core processor and a GTX 480/580. Pretty much, anyone with a processor that was made in mid 2010 to today, SHOULD be able to play this (granted that your cpu contains an L3 cache). Really, it may all just come down to the graphics card that you are using. We will find out soon enough though.

Are you going to upgrade because of ARMA 3?

If I were you, I'd save up at least $1600 and build a new computer when the new Intel haswell processor comes out. Now, with that being said, with what you have NOW I don't doubt that ArmA 3 will run satisfactory.

Are you going to upgrade because of ARMA 3?

Hey, go for it but, I would go for 16gb ddr3 ram at 1600. 2133 doesn't really add all that much. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233299

Eh, I think you'll do ok. How do other games play? Have you tried playing games like Crysis 2, BF3, MW3, or Max Payne? How do they hold up?

    Is Arma 3 authentic?

    lol, wrong thread.

Are you going to upgrade because of ARMA 3?

What is your budget? And no, you don't need multiple cards unless you are running a high resolution monitor or multiple monitors for your games.

    Is Arma 3 authentic?

Ah, cool. Thank you. Also, I know it's fictional, that's why I was asking.
