    The sound thread

It's funny that I can hear my foot steps over what should be beastly idle engines running ingame. From my experience I had the change of witnessing a start up of a IAV Stryker and hear the idle engine sound, you really need to pick up your voice if you wanna be heard, and forget about footsteps. That thing purrs loudly :)
  2. Am I the only person who doesn't like the new character rotation? It has only been applied to rifles and I find it feels unnatural compared to how it previously was. From a first person perspective it feels like I'm leaning outward and moving my hips to turn my body, and it looks just terrible in third person. Dev Branch Changelog quote: "Assigned new style collision envelopes to movement with rifle. This should fix several issues with clipping, sticking and walking through walls. Also improves character handling, as the rotation axis is now moved under characters head, instead of it's feet. Pistol envelopes remain old-style for comparison, but will shortly follow." Anybody else prefer the rotation being under the feet apposed too being under the head?
  3. GRFS is just an example, and in now way do I want Arma to be a arcade shooter. Arma 3 alpha somewhat lowers the weapon when in a jog, but it would look better if always lowered. Raising and sighting the weapon should be just as quick as when you sight your weapon now. The soldier should be ready for combat but not point at everything automatically.
  4. As it is now, all that is done is the camera zooms in on the sights. When binding the raise weapon command to right mouse, it feels utterly broken. Switching back and forth is slow and awkward, try it your self.
  5. I noticed when raising your weapon with 2xCtrl it feels a bit slow and awkward, even more so when moving. Why don't you just have the weapon lowered to begin with and then hold right mouse too raise and sight your weapon, but much more quick and responsive. Games like Ghost Recon: Future Soldier use this method. Holding right mouse to pop up the sights and engage the target feels more tactical. For movement I suggest two stance states. Relaxed and then combat ready with all the four speeds there is now (walk, jog, run and sprint). Allow 2xCtrl to trigger a combat ready stance with the weapon ready but not drawn. You could even have this trigger as you are being shot at. It would make for a much more fluid and realistic feel. I'm very interested to what the community would think of this, and possibly if BIS would adopt this feature into the game.
