Thanks. Arma 2 OA (with BE) runs fine from Steam, no problems, no errors. The only server I play on is at 62.210.52.9:2302 It is an Overpoch Origins Taviana server.

I tried for the first time to connect to a Dayz server since I got the update. I got exactly the same dependency error as before. As Dwarden mentioned a new 2nd update, I switched again to Steam's UK London server, but there was no 2nd update - so perhaps the update I got yesterday WAS the 2nd update. Either way, it still shows the same error anyway.

There we go ! Thanks Dwarden. Seems Valve racially profiled my IP and decided my perceived ethnicity was not appropriate to enjoy the Arma2OA update :-) Switched to a white man's server location and the update downloaded.

Friday evening now, still no Steam update.

I think so ? My option says "Beta -". The other optiions being "None...", or "1.62..."

Cool, thanks. I just signed into Steam, I was expecting it to download an update (?) But no downloads. Does it not work like that in this case ?

The "Corepatch requires a..........." error message. I copied it to E:\Steam\SteamApps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\Expansion\Addons It overwrote an existing corepatch.pbo, so i'm hoping this was the correct folder ?

Thanks Dwarden. I also noticed that I was unable to view how many free/used slots there were in a vehicle. You know, how it usually says 10/50/1 or whatever on the top of the GEAR menu. Now the top of the gear menu is blank. This was on an Overpoch Origins server, it may well work or not on other Dayz variants ?

I have ACR full. It was already installed. I did a forced reinstall of ACR, and I still get the error message, I can now get into servers, but it's behaviour is REALLY flaky ! On one new server I got insta banned on spawn, on another new server I got Infistar (white screen) ban upon spawning in. Weird.

Necro-ing this moudly old thread.....:-) Is there a version that works with Dayz ?

Oh, okay, well it is a relief to know that it is working. I had heard about "the Steam Browser", so I was expecting something workable and efficient like in Day of Defeat, or TFC, but it is exactly the same as before. No efficient way to filter out mod types, no way to filter between incompatible mod or Arma 2 versions. Seems Gamespy is still up at the moment because Dayz Commander still lists 6,200 servers. Are they ever going to shut it off ? Or does Dayz Commander now poll Steam for the master server list ?

I have A2OA under Steam with the BETA option checked. I verified the Steam Cache BEFORE installing the BETA option, so everything should be PERFECT. So now my ingame version is 1.63.124879 I was told (by an Admin on Dayz Forum) that you switch to STEAM by going into MULTIPLAYER and clicking on the INTERNET option and toggling past LAN to STEAM. However, I only have the INTERNET and LAN options. What can I do, I have a verified cache and a beta version chosen by Steam, what could possibly have gone wrong ?

Well, May 31st is here (for me anyway at GMT+8). What happened to Maruk's solution ? Was the solution to use the heinously slow in-game browser all along ? That's SURELY not it ? Is there no standalone app like Dayz Commander that will load Dayz with the necessary addons when you select the server, or will you have to find a server you like on the sloooow internal browser, EXIT out and modify the game load parameters for for whatever mod the server is, run it, find it again on the sloooow internal browser..... etc etc ?

Hi, I am using the ACR HAMR SD Woodland on a Dayz server (if that makes a difference ?). In Dayz, the aforementioned rifle doesn't have the option to adjust the zeroing with PgUp and PgDn. There are range numbers on the scope of 2 - 4 - 6 - 8, I tried the '8' out and could barely scrape 300m, so i'm not sure of the scale of the on-scope ranges ? What is the blood damage of the rifle too ?

Does anyone know what the default zero-ed range is for the sniper rifles (SD and standard) ? I see from the v1.2 update notes that the CCO and HWS SD are set to 100m, but it doesn't mention the sniper variants ? Also, what is their default damage rating in Arma 2 ? Around 4500 - 5000 ? Or are they higher rated ? Finally, what is the latest version ? On Armaholic it seems to be v1.2, but on http://friedenhq.org/?page_id=55 it lists v1.2 as an "old version".

What a work of genius this campaign is ! Just a pity that it absolutely kills your framerate if you play it as intended.

How do you find a map ? Also revive never works, noone ever answers my call for help, even with AI standing all around me, noone helps me, which means constant restarting. A game-breaker for me is the lack of a SAVE feature, or even the lack of an option to turn save on or off.

I had to re-install due to upgrading to Windows 7. I read that it is only available on the 1.54 patch - which I didn't find out until I patched from v1.51 to v.160 to v1.62. There's no way I will go through the slow hell of installing from DVDs again, so is there any way to get hold of them as single downloads - just like you can with ACR Lite ?

Is there a version for Arma 2 ? (I saw the banner on this thread said 'Armed Assault')
