Thanks again! That works well. I know I can manipulate the sound file to adjust ms of silence before the sound actually plays but I'm wondering if there isn't a precision way to delay the flash/shutter in the script to better synchronize it with the sound? The only delay I know is "sleep". Is this the best to use or is there some other scripting magic that might be preferable for this? Or am I better off just trying to tweak the sound file itself? -

I'm also having problems with "fortify" on the newest release. I give a squad leader nul=[this,"area0","fortify"] execVM "scripts\upsmon.sqf"; and they just stand there? -

Nice work guys! I've been following both threads with great interest. I too have been working on a small Coop mission, four squad members, and would like to use AI when players are not available. I expect to host locally (not dedicated). I read this thread with the hopes I might glean the knowledge to start the mission with a HALO that would work for either AI or humans, maybe auto open the chute for AI? I'd also like to select the landing area as a mission designer, not leave it up to the players. ;) Hoping someone is still working on these! -
That's AWESOME news! Does that mean they will use Massi's NATO SF and Russian Spetsnaz weapons correctly too? Thanks for doing this!

Try UPSMON for ARMA 3! I just did myself less than an hour ago. It's awesome and much easier to use than you describe. Put a marker down that covers a town, call it "town", place a few groups, put this in the init of only the group leader: nul=[this,"town","fortify"] execVM "scripts\upsmon.sqf"; Set a couple of groups for patrolling the same town and put this line in the init of each of their squad leaders: nul=[this,"town"] execVM "scripts\upsmon.sqf"; Now you have a town that has AI fortifying the inside of buildings (they will look and shoot out of windows!) and some units patrolling the streets too. I just tried it for the first time and I love it! Especially wicked when AI flanked us and wiped out most of my AI team... something that the vanilla AI never did before! Thanks Cool=Azroul13, for an awesome script! Forgive the n00b question but I'd love to pull off a "blow up the radio tower before the enemy can call for reinforcements" in my missions. I would think it would need to work on a timer from *first engagement* and check to see if the radio tower was still standing before reinforcements were deployed. I already have tasks working to take down the tower and settaskstate to show it completed. Does anyone have the time to help me with this? Thanks in advance, either way. . -
Won't work with alive, not yet anyway. Supposedly improvements in one of the next versions will allow much greater custom mod compatibility. I'm waiting for it too. I want to run Irregulars vs. NATO on Clafghan :D

I think that relates to the infamous "pond error" but I could be wrong. Another trick in PWS is just make a collection for each map... @CBA_A3, @AiA, @Clafghan. Reduces load time and lets you easily keep different mods like units separate for each. -

Thanks again Iceman77! Yeah, I know freesound pretty well. Already have a sound I think would work good. http://www.freesound.org/people/ThompsonMan/sounds/166500/ I was thinking maybe instead of a flash it could do like a split second of screen to black, with the camera sound, to simulate the shutter closing during picture taking, thus providing a visual cue that it had been done as well? -

Looks good! Hope to see camo versions as well. The only B1's I've ever seen in real life wore a two stage camo, bluish grey on the bottom and something similar to this on top: -
First off, thanks for this very nice addon! I wondered why suppressors seemed like they were taking twice as many shots to drop a target! :mad: I'd LOVE to have real subsonic rounds and weapons for covert ops. An MP5SD (with real subsonic ballistics) would be a great toy to play with as well. Hope you are still working on the ammo mod :)

That seems to work excellent! I haven't had the opportunity to test it in MP (coop) yet. Any thing you can think of that might mess that up? I DO notice that the flash is initiated every time the mouse is pressed though (while viewing). How hard would it be to check that it was actually looking at the target before running the flash script? I would also almost prefer a camera sound instead of, or with the flash? Further, how do I go about making sure that all my players have this ability or the ability for even one of them to complete the task in the case I am dead? (No respawn!) Sorry... didn't mean to make you do all the scripting for me. :icon_redface: I'm just finding myself quickly running out of free time to finish this mission. Once my time is done I probably won't be able to spend much on it for most of the year. I really hoped someone would have already published such a working script that I could just plugin, rather than spend a bunch of time trying to reinvent the wheel. Your help is MUCH appreciated! Thanks either way, even if you decide not to contribute any further. -
I adore Clafghan as my #1 pick for "Afghan like" (having never been there). I'd love to see that converted/ported to run in A3 natively.

Looks like you need to update your "setup" in the first post for v1.1? You should consider including a readme with the setup inside the download too. :)
