    Yes I agree, I've been waiting for a Southeast Asian guerrilla type group for a long time. At this point I'd take any mod that features a group like that.

    Thank you that seems to have fixed the problem, the game launches without hanging or error message. I will spend some time this weekend playing ARMA 3 with this mod, looking forward to it.

    Okay I have tracked the problem I am having to the following scenario; If I test as a generic NATO Demolition Expert the mod works fine. If I take the same soldier to an ammo box with Arsenal enabled and completely change the load out (uniform, headgear, goggles, vest, backpack, weapons and yes leave the satchel charges in place, then the mod no longer works. I prefer custom load outs for my player and team mates when creating single player missions. Somewhere in that process the mod seems to break even if I am using a NATO Explosives Expert with the applicable demo charges and satchels.

    Well I still can't get it to work. I run a lot of mods I suspect an incompatibility with one of them and this mod. I will sometime this weekend to figure out which mod(s) may be causing the issue.

    Okay, It was a NATO Explosive Expert I tested with but I will look it over again. Having Recon and Special Forces will be nice in the future. Are you aware of any mod conflicts that may cause an issue preventing your mod from working? thanks for replying.

    For some reason this isn't working for me. I'm testing with an Explosive Expert, I cycle through my grenades but other explosives don't show up, what am I missing?

    Of course getting permission from the author is the way to go. I contacted a mod author yesterday for an unsupported mod and to my surprise he responded and said he's have a look at the problem. I have done the same in the past for other mods. I think most modders like that people still use their work and are happy to help if their is a problem. I was just suggesting that if the author has left the Arma 3 community distributing a fix should be no harm as long as a person isn't trying to pass the original work off as themselves. We'll wait and see.

    That could be. If you are placing them in the Editor and not using some other method to put them on the map (Alive, or scripts, etc) a thing that will work is place a higher ranking Independent soldier on the map and group to them. Thanks to the Arsenal, you can take any soldier and give him the Aggressors clothes and weapons, just export. This works every time. You can have NATO units grouped with CSAT units and they will all behave as the faction of the group leader even after the leader is killed in game.

    Well just a guess but..... by default the Independent side is Friendly to the Blue (BLUFOR) side. In the Editor you have to change them to be Friendly to the Red (OPFOR). This may not be what you are referring to. I just use the Aggressors as OPFOR and they don't turn on each other :).

    Operation NorthStar (ONS)

    Hi, Is it possible that the silencers and elcan scopes are conflicting with the CAF mod (Canadian Armed Forces not CAF - Aggressors)? I have some mission templates that use CAF units and once I installed the ONS mod the C8 silencers and the elcans disappeared. The CAF Optics ammo box still shows the elcan scope but can no longer be mounted on the CAF guns but will mount on an ONS C7 (??). I noted that Ohally contributed to the ONS mod, is ONS the eventual replacement for CAF? CAF still has many excellent features therefore I am not ready to switch exclusively and give it up yet, but possibly ONS is moving in that direction. I like the mod and I hope to see more from you guys very soon. thanks
  20. Wow the mod is looking really good. Is that a custom island made by the Unsung team or were you playing/testing on another mod island? Any chance of an Alpha release? I'm particularly anxious for some VC/NVA to shoot :cool: I know, you get asked for a release date all the time :)
  21. The Save button is greyed out on this map. All my other maps work fine. Is this a known issue, does someone know a fix? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Problem resolved. There was a script in my mission that somehow affected the save game option.
  22. We already have a pretty good jungle map with Nziwasogo, large and lots of atmosphere. There's a Huey mod out there that can be used also. None of this is perfect for a Vietnam mod as is but like eggbeast said the Unsung mod is going to take a long time. All I need to keep busy for a while until the mod is ready for its 1st release are some units (US, VC, NVA). I'm sure that isn't a small task but its a start.

  24. Hi eggbeast; To just re-state the obvious, are saying you are playing a ported version of Unsung 2.6 using A2OA? wow, I didn't think that was possible. I thought that maps, weapons and vehicles were possible but not units. Can you do save game in single player also?
