I had some odd pc behaviors after installing mods, all I can say is, while I have no proof of anything, I will not be installing any mods at least until BI will make some statement about this subject / look into it. I am currently doing a whole system check for viruses and malwares when right after installing some mods my PC started freezing up randomly. The only place I might have gotten a virus from is from the workshop mods. as it's the only source of files I download and can't scan before opening them. The only other place I download from that I can't scan are the steam games themselves which I trust, so that leaves the workshop as a the only potential threat. Not only that, Malwarebytes completely blocks all traffic in reforger, while I know this is done because of the IP steam might be using that was/is being scanned and brute force attacked, It seems that reforger uses that IP as well (like many other games) which is yet again, not very reassuring. All and all in the past week after what I have experienced (granted nothing like what OP is describing) I will strongly recommend BI to do some security checkup and make sure everything is order. This is not the 90's anymore, gaming itself could be a security threat. I hope BI are not taking this lightly.

I totally agree. If some vehicle has some explosives on it and it get shot at it? sure, make sense. But I get exploded just from hitting a tree with a UAZ with zero explosives on it, not even that fast. This totally ruin immersion. No car ever in the history of cars have or will explode from crashing into something. And to top it all of, once the car is on fire you can't get your gear back. I have seen cars set on fire IRL, and even than they don't explode, there is just a big fire plume once the gas canister start leaking, definitely not an explosion 100% should be removed.

The kick abuse thing has always plagued this game, but now after the PS5 kids are infesting the official servers it's even worse. Joining a public server, a group of PS5 kids taking over the servers killing you and than kicking you, And then to add insult to injury you are banned for 4 minutes for doing absolutely nothing while they keep on gaming like nothing happened. Cross play is nice, generally I have nothing against it, but this kick abuse is something BI need to solve already (also PC players are doing it but now it's just unbearable) This is unacceptable and literally spitting in the face of your long time PC player base who made Arma what it is today. I already reported some players to the official reporting Email, I did get a response (like a very long time after) from the community manager but I have no idea what actually happened with that, and this is not really a solution, since you still get kicked and banned. The least you can do is make some official PC only servers. AND NO, creating my own server is not a solution! ONE, I will not pay for a dedicated server, I paid for this game I don't need to pay extra to rent a server, AND NO, I can't create a server on my PC because I am not going to open ports on my PC. These "solutions" are unacceptable in any way. The whole fun is joining some public server and find like minded people who play with respect to each other, understanding it's a PUBLIC server which they do not own. I love Reforger and its community, having already well over 800 hours, but this needs to be handled somehow. it's really a shame some bad apples ruin it for the rest of us. Here are some easy suggestions to get you going BI, 1. You can't kick someone for no apparent reason, for example some reasons you can check if really happened and the kick voter need to state the reason for kick and it has to match the reality on the ground, for example: team killing, AFK for too long, offensive language in chat, etc. So if someone wants to kick me, he needs to state why, let's say team killing, but If I didn't team kill anyone, the vote is automatically rejected. 2. Looking for repeating kick abuse patterns with players, if you (or an automated process that is) recognize a certain pattern with certain players that are kicking players too much, They should be warned, if it continues they should be suspended and their account should be checked, in case it was legit ok, in case not, they should be banned! 3. Give us PC only servers (not kick abuse related directly but will help for that too). Seriously I have got nothing against consoles but the PS5 players specifically (not all of course) are just annoying kids who have ZERO respect and think they own the server 4. This might be controversial, I get it, but maybe some status level should be made, in case you kick too much your level should drop to a point you can't kick anymore, either permanently or for a "cool off" period of a week, a month or whatever 5. Assuming all the above suggestions are implemented, once someone was finally kicked, don't ban him from all servers. ban him from the particular server he was kicked from. In that case (and assuming all other suggestions implemented too) you can extend the ban time to let's say 30 minutes, since it's only that server. Hope you can sort this out somehow. As it is right now I lost all will to log in and play Reforger. Really a damn shame

Hey RobertHammer, I am sure you are aware of it, but after the update when deploying weapons when prone the player is lowered into the ground a little bit. I guess you know that and working to fix it, but just thought I will share anyway. Hope you are planning to add support for the bipods and/or make your bipod animation work with the deploy button rather than with the fire selection key. Ho and I just Love you weapon pack, Thank you!

Hey all, I was looking for some simple one color retextured units of the independent faction to play as some sort of specop units, Since I don't like the independent camo and I really don't like the bluefor uniforms in general. I was amazed not to find any so I decided to make some. this is my first (well second) try at making an addon, As I went along I decided i will make the Shayetet 13 uniforms also (Israeli naval commandos) since I really like these uniforms. This is very much WIp, I plan to retexture the vests and backpacks as well. The m4 in the picture is from Robert Hammer's excellent m4 pack, it is NOT part of the addon, it is here just for the screenshot. And I used b00ce PSD template (I think, sorry if I got it wrong) for the texture work. The rest of the gear is Vanilla Arma 3. When I think it's complete I will release it. Hope you like it. True, I might have been a little bit angry, maybe more than I should have been, I am truly sorry if hurt anyone feelings, but you got the point and this is the reason for this post. You think (again plural you) I don't want to play ArmA3? hell no! there is nothing more I would like to do than play this game with friends. I REALLY WANT to buy the helicopter DLC for example just for the shooting from vehicles, and I wouldn't mind paying them for the sniper DLC as well. But why should I buy any of those when I can't really play the game? I TRULY love this game, it is by far my favorite game of all times. I have 376 hours on record despite all the bugs and low fps. but I am tiered of it and all I want is that BI know that, will it help? I don't know but I hope it will. Like I said I respect the devs and I know they don't do it on purpose. but that is how economics and free market works, if people buy it, they will continue to work the way the always did. but if they will see the sales are going down they will have to do something about it. There is nothing personal here and I am sorry if I sounded angry. And this is not rage quit either since I do still play the game once in a while.

I take the GO-KART back then, replace it with helicopter DLC or Zeus or whatever. I also never mentioned the amount of staff BI have. Also, I stated in the original post that I know they are not a major company with millions of dollars and that ArmA is a much more complex game than the average PC game. I know all of that. And yes, I know that bugs are being ironed out all the time and bringing new features create new bugs, I know that. But, it dose not change anything. At the current state of things i don't think that let's say ArmA 4 will be any different, and THAT is my main point. If BI will be the same BI they have been for the past 13 years, ArmA4 would be the same mess ArmA3 is now. So I don't care about GO-KART or how many devs they have or don't have. I just don't want to spend 60$ on a game I KNOW will be a bug fest OR to spent money on a DLC for ArmA3 while I can't even play it. That is all. you want to spend 60$ go ahead, it's your money. And just as disclaimer so the devs know it's nothing personal, I have allot of respect for you guys for making a game like that, I know it's not easy, I know you work hard, nights and days, I know you want this game to be the best it can be, I know that. Too many posts to reply them all but I will try. First of all, no, I don't have anything to replace Arma3 with. but if you will read closely I never said I will never play it again, I said I will never buy a BI product again. But to be honest I rarely play this game anymore because of many other reasons. When I do play, I play SP and once in a while I try to play MP but I usually quit after one minute because of extreme low fps (lag is not a good term, it is just low fps) About my system, like I said I know I don't have the best system, but SP runs on high settings with a decent amount of AI beautifully with out any problem, so obviously my computer can handle the game. About my internet connection, it's FINE. I play online game all the time, never have a problem with other games. only in Arma3 MP. My internet is FINE! About giving you more details, I don't see the point. I have tried most of the suggestions I found in the internet, none worked. what makes you think (plural you), you will solve it all of a sudden? guess what, you won't! I agree it could be something in my computer, but I can't buy a new computer just for this game for the slim chance it MIGHT solve the problem. I hear plenty of stories about people with monster rigs that have MP low fps, so no, it's not a solution. Also I am an adult I am not a little kid, I work hard for a living, I can't spend most of my time to try and solve this issue, and I spent too much already. and i don't have a mom and dad that will buy me a new computer, I have bills to pay, rent, food to buy etc. AND JUST TO MAKE IT CLEAR AGAIN MY COMPUTER IS FINE!!!! I like the game also, but it's broken for me (and many other people!) I gave BI plenty of time to address these issues, I helped in the alpha and beta, I gave feedback, and I hoped BI will listen, so it's not that I hate the game or hate the devs, nothing is personal here, so stop taking it that way. But wait, it's not just the MP low fps, I go way back with BI (since the beginning) I always knew BI games are buggy, but I believed that with time they will improve, iron out bugs learn from their mistakes. and also of course OFP / ArmA series is a one of kind so I continued to buy their games regardless of their buggy nature. Now I agree Arma3 is better in many aspects, but there are still so many things that are just plain laziness on their behalf (the devs). So many things in this game are EXACTLY the way they were in OFP from 2001!!! excuse me but this is unacceptable in my opinion. Yet they have time to make Go kart DLC??? REALLY GO KART? WTF??? Now you can hate me all you want, but I (as an adult) choose to vote with my wallet! I will stop giving BI my money, if you want to do that, go ahead, it's your money. But I refuse to spend anymore money on half assed rushed buggy products from this company. 13 years of being a loyal customer and waiting for them to release at least ONCE a working game is beyond reasonable! The fact is (and excuse me dear devs) I don't believe they can pull it off anymore, unless they do some drastic changes with their engine or programmers, I don't know which one but it dose not matter, you get the point (I hope). But I lost my trust, I didn't post this to get solutions to the MP problem, I post this so they know they are loosing customers and they better get their act together and do something about it. I understand it's hard for some of you to hear this, but this is my decision and I believe if more of you will do the same they will be forced to recognize the problem and try and fix it instead of making stupid DLC the whole day. Yes but I don't have energy for that anymore to be honest. All I do is play SP now. thanks anyway. But why did I write this post maybe some of you wonder, well because i truly believe BI didn't optimize MP like they can. and if they can't well that is a problem on it's own. 70 ping is totally normal for MP games. you can't expect everyone will have 20 ping. and if they do, that is another problem.

Well I live in Israel and there are not so many here, most of them are closed with passwords. So I am pretty much forced to play on German servers, since Germany and Israel have good direct underwater cables connecting each other. And even in Israeli servers the lowest ping I ever saw was 45.

@AtinAkiri well, it's a good question which I have no answer to. The only time I get reasonable FPS is on Stratis with low numbers of AI and like 10 players and even then most of the time it's like around 15. On Altis I have yet to play a SINGLE game since release with decent fps I get around 7 (average) I tried allot of the fixes that are around the internet and from what I know I am not alone. Also as the game got updated it just got worse, at the begining I could still play here and there. And like I said I get well above 30 fps in SP even with allot of AI in Altis. I waited for a reasonable amount of time for this issue to be addressed, for me the game is unplayable, for you it is. good for you. @TheEvanCat, it's got nothing to do with ping, I always choose low ping servers (around 70 is the lowest I can) nothing helps. but thank you for trying to help. Sure my rig is not the best, but SP runs on high setting very smooth and MP on all low settings is laging like crazy. to be honest Video settings has no effect on the FPS what so ever, it's low fps either way. The only thing I can think about is that I have a very bad luck with servers and all the servers I have been to are just crap. But statistically the odds of me not getting on at least ONE good server since release are very low. If you know any good powerful servers in Europe I can try and see if that helps, please let me know. And it's not I like to be a troll or just flame the forums you can see since 2010 i have only 61 posts (including this one) But I honestly lost all hope and I truly love this game with all my heart and all I want is to play MP with my friends but I just can't. but sure go ahead report this post (whoever you are) but did I break any forum rules? no i didn't.
