ALiVEmod.com The next generation dynamic persistent mission addon for ArmA3 Release 1.0.4 - Bug Fixes, Optimisations, enhanced C2ISTAR and more War Room bug hunting Updates The main focus of this release is to start optimizing code utilising new commands from BIS (thankyou!) that should help performance. We have also been focusing on addressing bugs reported by our loyal and hard working supporters posting on our forum (http://alivemod.com/forum/). We've also fixed some more bugs with statistics in the War Room and added some fixes for Multispawn, OPCOM, Ambient civilians, Advanced Markers, SPOTREPS and more. Server admins please note there is also an updated ALiVE extension plugin shipped with this version (in @aliveserver folder). C2ISTAR (Command, Control, Intelligence etc.) Improvements Thanks to SpyderBlack, we have a very cool new feature for our C2ISTAR module. Those of you who watched the recent BIS livestream with 21st Rangers would have heard Friznit talking about the importance of Intel to battlefield commanders. We've wanted to review the way Operational Intelligence is gathered and presented to Players in ALiVE in order to provide a more realistic and comprehensive set of tools. At the tactical level, Intelligence is typically collected from sources such as EM signals, images and humans. ALiVE already simulates HUMINT with the ability to talk to civilians and collect data on possible hostile activity. SpyderBlack has now added a new IMINT capability to Player Commanders. Any Combat Support assets that have suitable optics on board can stream live imaging directly to the C2ISTAR tablet. Want more maps? Map Indexing There are still plenty more maps to index. For all those people who were asking for indexing tools, they're really simple to setup and use and everything is done IN GAME! ALiVE is fully supported on a Linux Dedicated Server (as well as Windows). In fact the ALiVE Official Server for testing is running Ubuntu. So its important to understand how CUP are using the term open source here. Everyone is welcome to access the source and contribute back into the project :)CUP doesn't have a system in place like github today that allows all and sundry to come by and download ten's of GB of source. Maybe that will happen one day. In the meantime, its very easy for people to contact CUP (like I did), request access and start submitting updates. I highly recommend it to everyone as the team are friendly, knowledgable and are willing to share their expertise with all those willing to give a little something back (i.e. help).

No need to be confused. You just need to contact CUP and request access to the source, details are on their website and they can get you set up. What's not open about that? The approach also ensures you are setup to share back your changes etc.

Well we haven't tested LHD with Eden yet, so not surprised it doesn't work. Will work on it for next CUP release.

Something is broken then, CUP LHD should have fully working elevators and weapon systems. Ensure you are running latest Arma 3, CBA and CUP Vehicles.

Indeed, since our GA we've had some great feedback on our forum (http://alivemod.com/forum/) and also some bug reports. This is our 2nd update in as many weeks and features some important fixes. We've squashed quite a few annoying bugs including one that was affecting loading/saving of asymmetric warfare missions. We've also fixed some issues with Combat Support and addressed some community reported bugs relating to military placement for roadblocks and much more. Map Indexing We've also got to a point where we can now allow community folks to help us index maps for ALiVE. Many of you may wonder why we need to index maps and what we mean by indexing. Well, AI commanders (OPCOM) and their sub commanders rely on a great understanding of the terrain and strategic positions across the map. By indexing maps, we give AI that intelligence to make decisions on how and where they attack/defend/resupply etc. The terrain piece we do with some clever algorithms, but when it comes to buildings, objects and locations it is more effective to have a human "index" these things. Of course we do have some defaults (runways are indexed as military objectives etc) but many maps make use of objects and buildings in different ways. Indexing is fairly straighforward and it can all be done in game. Also, our in-game indexes are 90% faster to lookup than in-engine searches. This gives AI an unparalleled understanding of the Area of Operation and makes for a competitive foe vs humans. no I mean this isn't spawning the CUP Vehicles LHD that has all the improvements. Its spawning the static objects from CUP Terrains.

This is not applicable to CUP LHD as we have our own build script as an init eventhandler

Noticed you are not running ACE - which is probably why you don't see the issue. At this point in time our testing is pointing to some kind of conflict between ACE and ALiVE with 1.54/1.56/1.57, -

Repro the issue with latest perf binary (v20 I believe), ALiVE 1.0 (do not use ALiVEServer), latest CBA and latest ACE. Use -crashDiag in your command line on server. Go to our forum and upload your RPT (and mission pbo). If you know how, use ProcDump from sysinternals to get a memory dump when the AI freeze. Then repro the issue without ACE and follow same guidance. Send your RPT and memory dumps to Dwarden. Much appreciated! -

In v1.2 we created a new hangar on the flight deck. You can use positions 22 and 23, use the spawnVehicleCargo function. [_lhd, YOUR AMMO CLASS, “fd_cargo_pos_22â€] call CUP_fnc_spawnVehicleCargo; As an example. You can repeat this for position 23. Possibly repeat these steps to add additional ammo boxes/supplies.
