    I haven't seen anyone mention this, but we already know exactly where Takistan will be. BIS seem to have been planning this since before Arma 2. It's right next to the part of Chernarus we don't get to play and it also borders...Russia :eek:

    We can argue all day about if X is better than Y, but that seems a tad silly. The original question was what IFVs are available to transport these units? The Bradley and the M113 are both used by the US Army, and both are available as addons. The Stryker, as nice as it would be, is NOT currently available in Arma 2. Question answered. No need for an argument here, I think we can all at least agree that Bink's units are amazing and leave it at that ;)

    Any areas in particular you have problems with? I found that if they were grouped too close to the tower, it turned into a giant mess of grenade spam.

    I believe it goes in the folder of the mission you are working on in the editor.

    this setPos [(getPos this select 0),(getPos this select 1),1.5]; put this in the unit's init line. play around with the 1.5 for height of the unit. btw, this probably should go in the mission editing/scripting section ;)

    Tracer Effects

    hi opticalsnare, this is a really nice addon along with your other effects pack, makes for some nice night fights. however as mentioned above regarding the tracers' colors, I think it would be good for "realism's sake" to switch back to the BIS colors in your addon officially, without the need for users to have to edit configs. US weps=red, Eastern weps=green. of course it's totally up to you, but I think it makes more sense this way ;)

Just a little request for any potential new islands: I think it would be neat if a map had a "US embassy" style compound on it, with big fences and guard towers, etc. This would be cool because you could have the USMC defend it, or have a situation where tensions were building in some foreign country and spec ops came in to get people out. Just my 2 cents

  18. I noticed that too a while ago and thought I was going crazy, I don't remember when it happened but it's kinda weird how it just switched all of the sudden.
  19. I've been wondering about this, I'd like to have the demo backgrounds back too. I usually use -world=empty, but after I've loaded a map and come out of the editor, the world is there. The Chernarus one is especially lame.

  22. I may have just missed this before because I always play as USMC. When I was playing with a NAPA group today with this new beta, when they confirmed kills they said what enemy type they killed. ie "Enemy Machinegunner successfully engaged" never seen this before. is it new? or specific to certain factions?
