@Dslyecxi, Last night I spent 3 hours on tweaking the screen ratio bug, I made it, it should adapt to any kinds of monitors now, and also made a MOD version, so it can be used on any islands. I can release it under your approval, otherwise I use it only for myself.

I've found many guys who complaining the fps are often those who pursue the extreme setting. For ArmA series, a stable fps is much more important than a 20~100fps. I use MSI afterburner to cap the max fps at 30, VD&OVD=2.5KM, other settings at very high, except for the post effect(off). At this setting, 99%time my fps stables at 30. I got very smooth game experience, though my video card is the old HD6970, my CPU is the old 2500K. -

@RH, IMHO, 1. the M4's handanims needs a tweak, the left hand palm doesn't hold the rifle at a proper position, you should lower it a bit. 2. It would be better to use 2d scopes for all optics like TMR MOD achieved. a bug, if I exchange weapons in ammobox, the previous rifle in hand would get into my character's inventory column instead of going back into ammobox, and they can accumulate

I support OP's request, adding some more detailed buildings, compounds or infrastructures wouldn't degrade Arma3's mil-sil experience, on the contrary it would increase it. But one thing we have to consider is that the performance would suffer a lot unless we downsize the island to 3x3KM, and I would like to see such maps in some DLC. -

@Dslyecxi, My screen is 16:10, so sad that the right column can't be seen. Why don't you use the safezone to adapt all kinds of screen ratio? http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/SafeZone And could you make a addon version?

After updating to the latest dev version, I play the official campaign episode1, there always pops up a script error message whenever I kill an enemy, and I can read the message is somehow related with the MCC -

---It's obviously related to the R3F weapons pack, if you load it with the R3F weapons pack, the warning message could be solved. So my suggestion is just set naked gun(with ironsights) in config.cpp, but not those attachment. ArmA3 provides us good method of assemble our own attachments, you don't pre-set all kinds of attachments for us. -
@GDSN, How about add a black edition of MX DMR? Would be appreciated.

Well, not every player has an appetite of realism immersion, most of them would only ask for a fun after a whole day's work in office. I personally a hard-core fan for sim mil, and can't live with arma and dsc series. They both have own editors and an open world to let you ride freely. I also play BF3, but had decided not to buy BF4. Because after goofing around its beta, I didn't see obvious difference from its predecessor. I might change my mind if EA would add an enditor into it, but that's just a fantasy. Regarding to the ACE for ArmA3, I haven't see any clue it will come in near future, maybe never, because its several hardcore dev had left, so who knows..... -
Hi, Matt, welcome to this forums. What you mentioned is a really old question, tons of people have asked for this feature from official, but unfortunately those damn Devs always keep silent on it. You may use TMR, which provide weapon rest feature, but no deploy bipod animation like BF3 does, but anyway it's useful.

I like this addon, which really made me feel more smooth and accurate, and eliminated the turning round stutter thing when you were teleported from one Altis's one place to another. Thanks!

----You are right, the ArmA3 uses a different zoom rate calculation method comparing to ArmA2, but TMR is still insisted on the way from Arma2. In ArmA1 and ArmA2, initzoomrate = 0.25 means 1x magnification, so any other zoom rate was calculated based on it. Obviously it's not right, but some BI Dev had theri explanation about it in several thread. But in Arma3, 0.75 becomes the 1x magnification, and I think it's proper definition. If you would check the SOS config, you are gonna find that its minzoomrate=0.01, 0.75/0.01=75, so its max magnification is 75X, its initzoomrate=0.075, 0.75/0.075=10, so its init magnification is 10X. BTW, I don't like the 75X zoomrate at all, when you use such large magnification to observe distant targets, the my PC's VRAM(2G) and RAM(8G) were push to the limitation, so I will always get a FPS stutter when zoom out from 75X magnification, then I made a mod for my personal use, tweak minzoomrate = 0.03, which means 25X, then I got a smooth sniper feeling.
