I also greatly enjoyed the medical system in America's Army and I would pay $$$ for a new DLC, "Arma 3: *Medic!" Though that is probably unlikely, I still hold out hope that carrying and dragging will be added back in someday.

If this is possible, I would definitely think it is the best way to go. Standard for the new stamina system, advanced for the previous fatigue system. Works great for the AFM and other difficulty based options (i.e. extended armor, crosshair, etc.)- 1935 replies

I use it exclusively and won't fly without it (SP and MP), but I have hotas, pedals, and Track IR peripherals so it's possible I do it to justify those purchases. :)

For what it is worth, I would very much like trackir support in Take on Mars, as well. I think it would be a natural fit with this type of gameplay. These days, I cannot play arma without it.

Yes, I too have gotten quite confused with the myriad of AA settings now available. Especially as several of them can be used together. Is there any discussion what's the best use of different settings in conjuntion with each other? I see that AtoC ALL grass and trees does improve FPS. Does anyone else know what some of the others do? -
Will there be a way for us to flood certain areas of maps in the editor then? or just using the rather limited create mission templates?

I'm sure I'm just reading into this, but under the vehicles section it says this for the Pandur II: Vehicle can be transported by C-130 Hercules. This is just real world info right? There's no way they added vehicle transport in this DLC. I had also pre-ordered and just got the coupon, which was much appreciated!

So there are the two new maps in summertime, is there a summer chernarus map as well? maybe there never was a summer chernarus and it was these maps all along? If it follows the model of BAF and PMC, there's a new faction (ACR), new map(s) (Bystrica and Bukovina), new campaign, and an engine enhancement. However, no new engine feature has been announced. Maybe it's the water level thing?

This could be the DLC with the summer chernarus map that was hinted at so long ago. Also as for the storyline, the end of PMC strongly suggested that china was up to no good. Or, what if it is a JSDF campaign in post-A2 chernarus, a la when they went to post-invasion Iraq in 2004? I would be totally up for any of these. -

Yeah, Reynolds rant seems a little crazy and he is clearly the bad guy by this mission. I guess I'm just not a fan of BIS' decision to have you murder innocents as the official way to go. At least it is a bold and unusual direction for the series. On another note, did we ever learn why the other PMC group, Talon, attacks ION?

I was initially confused by this drift on take off too, thought I was doing something wrong. Then I took a real helicopter ride over the weekend, it really is like that. The pilot has to gently counter it with the pedals and cyclic. Keep practicing, you can get really good at it. Make sure to remove all the deadzones in your joystick under the controller options in the game menu. It made a world of difference for me.

Ok, so the bad ending to PMC is canon according to the Armaverse Timeline, but this makes Brian Frost such a jerk. He was a good guy in BAF, but then sides with Reynolds and kills off Dixon and the UN inspectors? Why did BIS chose to go with this ending? It seems terribly cynical and pessimistic to me. I suppose it does explain why Frost is such a prick in TOH.

I am overly excited for this new "true" xcom game. I think the first was the best game of all time (or 3-way tie with fallout and OFP). A respected strategy game developer, turn-based combat, it's almost too good to be true. I know, my expectations are way too high, but what can ya do?

Didn't this come up some time ago with a flight sim maker? IIRC, They depicted something like the F117 or F22 in a game and the real world manufacturer objected only to have the military step in and say they owned the copyright and since they are a federal entity, the designs belonged to the american public and could be used freely?

Next to ArmA, Fallout, and X-com, I think Portal is one of the most original and entertaining series around. I love that the co-op campaign is a completely different campaign than the single player one. The humor, dialogue, and gameplay all come together so damn well. -

Ok, thanks to your continued help, I am getting closer and closer to making a working conversation in an MP mission! I've incorporated the functions module, the waitUntil command, rKBTELL + call RE in the AI .fsm, as you recommended. So here's where I am today: my friend cannot see the AI dialogue on the very first load of the mission, however, when I simply restart the mission he can and then everything works as intended. Perhaps something isn't finished initializing and there is an additional waitUntil command I am missing? -

Wow, this has been immensely useful, I've now got a working conversation! One question though, is there some additional condition required to make it MP compatible? I used HateDread's 2nd example, a player + AI conversation, only substituting my dialogue/naming conventions and used the bis convmenu for each player response (to force the player to read them). When I host and my friend is the player in the conversation, he does not see the AI responses, only the player ones. Any suggestions? -

I had much better luck with the direct download. Took several tries cuz the page kept timing out, but finally got it started and it's been mostly 250k - 300k, waaaaaay better than the 5k I was getting with the US server Sprocket Downloader. -
How many people own this whole series of games?

I got each and every one of 'em, except that mostly forgotten and originally unauthorized (though I think it's legit now?) Between the Lines expansion for OFP. Oh and OFP:elite, but come on... this series belongs on PC. :) -
