    Operation Arrowhead = OA Got me copy today, but the latest version isnt the same as the latest beta of course! As i am riding a beast of 64bit i would like to run the latest beta, to check improvements even in OA.

  4. After the last update (yesterday),i get the ingame msg, that my Ace_key.hpp is too old. So i had a look to the @ACE folder to see if a new userconfig/Ace_key.hpp has been downloaded, but none. What do i have to do to get rid of that msg, means the updated key.hpp?

  7. I guess this has been answered a 100times.... No need to type in bold though. ArmA2 and ArmA2OA are 2 standalone games. If u want to play content from AmrA2 in OA u have to buy ArmA2. btw. here is an own closed thread for your question http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=100681 edit:Mad was faster.

    I checked ya setup today with 2 pcs in my local network and a "weak" dedicated server inside. As i got 2 versions of ArmA2 "only" i couldnt check a 3rd connection. But as result i had no probs. Did u check your single Game IDs of th pcs connecting? The Ids are listed in the dedicated server gui (next to other locations), and may not be the same!

    The mission is made for more than 3 or 4 players? Alhough this should prevent you only of joining a mission.

    Well, I never used local Lan since OFP on a dedicated one. -I suppose u opened all recommended ports?Actually a rethoric question only. -Can u connect altoghether at the same time on a dedicated server hosted by any group out there in the ArmA2 Server browser? -If pinging is working the network should be fine ,dont get me wrong plz m8, i am no professional network administrator, so i also just guess and check the points i would check. -Did u try to connect on the dedicated, without a mission loaded and without mods (although the mods shouldnt be any prob). -Are u able to connect to each other if e.g. you create a listen server?
  11. I do not want to spam the thread with non unit classes stuff, but with DAC 1 in OFP a tool was released, called unit extractor.It came beside the Zonewriter. I dont know if there is still s.o. out there, who got that tool on HD or any webspace, but probably it would speed up to complete the list here ,or everyones own use, by extracting units. Edit:found the link Zonewriter/unit extractor I am in holidays atm, so i cant check its functionality in ArmA2, but as nothing changed in the entries inside a mis file (belonging to the units listing), i suppose it to be working even in ArmA2. Note: I think the zonewriter wont be working for the new DAC3, as the call has imho changed a bit. Nevertheless i think it is easier to write the call oneself . source

    When i get u correct, u want to play with 3 pc in the same house in the same network on a dedicated server. The network within the house is working properly? Means no IP errors/conflicts, like the use of same IP adresses? Can u ping each other in the network? "just in case:start-execute-cmd-ping 192.168.x.xxx (local IP adress)"
  13. Dont get me wrong, as this is just my opinion, but imho ArmA2 has not a priority on Air warfare.Means the helicopter and planes answer its purpose, but thats it. Playing with flyable vehicles in ArmA2 cant compete with the simulation of land vehicles or infantry. Imho Ofp to ArmA2 is an infantry combat simulation, which got supplied by planes but for purpose only. Making a realistic B17 starting, would need a Map twice sized Chernarus. And at the end the effort modding it or converting the model fron another game to O2 doesent equal with its sense ingame. I mean it would be a nice piece of eye candy probably, but at lowest priority , what belongs also to other planes,as u cant really use them... in my opinion. This is a great mod and i followed it also since OFP times, and suffered a bit with the team ,when ArmA got released earlier than phase1 was really released.Two thumbs up for your enduring and quality work!
  14. The "2" means the auto unit function. Which supports dynamic adapted group count depending to the count of players on the server listed in the DAC Player Sting. So the "" are just of interest if you create a MP misison. Further more u dont need to delete all other cases. As u can easily switch between them on different zones on the map, if u delete them all u cant use different behaviours in different zones.
  15. You can change what flag to be appeared easily in the configuration files. Same belongs to create new camps.The readme is imho very detailed and easy to understand, even for "non-scripters". Done within 2mins. Each time i start a map with DAC i am satisfied and suprised again, as i already was in OFP and ArmA1 by DAC. Just a great tool, with what Arma2-Dynamic is lifted to another level. Thx again for that masterpiece Andy!
  16. Is there anywhere a solid and working classlist for ACE? The web based list is well meant, for sure, but not really comfortable. A list like Wolle created for Vanilla would be great. Is there anywhere a list like that?

    Dont post into an official forum nor make a sugestion, if u dont want to hear everyones opinion to your suggestion....which then is narrow-minded. Perhabs u could add a "only positive feedback plz" tag to the threads title. Could help to reach your aim next time ;)
  18. Actually in your game options (skill). In MP the server admin has to change settz. Is Sinkman still around in this thread, as i am still interested if one can implement GL4 into DAC e.g. as AI Addon.

    No crosshair by deafult would be best! Most servers use that crossjait and 3rd person view enabled .... spoiling absolute the fun and kills imho the spirit of ArmA, but well just my opinion. So the priority for changeable crosshairs is very low....for me.

  22. Hi friends, today i played around with some behaviourd of AI at night. 1. AI reacts on enemy at night (0:00h) at a distance of max 30m 2. AI dont notice enemies at 40m, even if i triggered a flare. I changed the skill from 1% to 100%, what made no differences. The enemy (me) was just walking on the radius to test at. As soon as i do a shot (even from 200m) the AI react directly, with precise shots. So i know AI doesnt react on any "viewabout" but "knowsabout" command. Nevertheless i hoped the knowsabout value would increase at night if a flare lighten a territory with an enemy is walking by. Do u have any ideas how to make AI to react on enemies if they are lighten up with a flare?

  24. Thx a lot m8! I am trying to implement it into Dac, which shouldnt be too hard, as it can be "easily" implemented via event. Give ya a shout or mission example if interested.
