First of all thanks to BIS for the update and new patch. Well I have the same FPS in benchmark 08 now as before (49 FPS) . Sometimes the game feels more smooth and sometimes I get low FPS during explosions. I have to do more testing and ofcourse I will report any good or bad experiences .:)

I play with patch 1.56 right now. Do I have to install 1.57 first or can I just install 1.59 directly?

Ok I think I will go for the GTX 570 Im not ready to take any risks for the future. An overclocked 570 can almost reach the performance of GTX 580 . Thank you all for answering my question .:)

So guys last question before I order the new computer GTX 560 ti or GTX 570 ? Ive spent hours reading about the two cards but cant come to a conclusion :/

Well its not like I dont want to help but its question of time. Its very hard to keep up with the development and having other issues going on at the same time.

Thats why I avoid beta patches, there are other good people willing to take the hit:)

How big is the difference in Arma 2 between GTX 560 ti vs GTX 570 ? Is the 100 euros justifying the difference between this two? I Use an 22 " monitor.

Sounds like an interesting patch and nice to hear that there some improvement in the engine as well. I took the decision to wait untill OA patch is released. :)

Im going for the ASUS P8p67 chipset either PRO or LE. I have the same PSU today and I dont mind if it sounds a little so no problem with that. My only concern is that the new system and the prestanda I gain will justify the new computer. I dont wont to throw money away right now.

I found a person who is interested to buy my current computer. Now I change my plans and I would go for a new system. What do you think of i5 2500k GTX 570 4 gig memory 1600 mhz 650 PSW CORSAIR I will also add a CPU cooler Noctua U12 ( for future overclock)

I agree no need for any Arma 3 soon. We all build our computers to be able to handle Arma 2 and alot of people spended a lot of money so they could play the game. If Arma3 comes out it will ruin a lot of people making them upgrading once more .:) PS Oops wrong thread :(

There are alot of different brands on GTX 570. Im not sure what is best for ARMA 2. There are ASUS, GIGABYTE, GAINWARD , EVGA etc.. Which is the best brand for the game?

LordJarhead it will be much better if you started working for BIS, then you work at least 8 hours per day with the sounds.:)

I have a question before I go to the store . What should I upgrade for best performance in Arma 2? Should I upgrade my CPU AMD phenon 965 3.4 to an i5-2500K? Or should I upgrade my GPU from GTX 275 to GTX 570? I cant upgrade both so please tell me what is the best upgrade right now. Thank you
