No worries ;) Would love to see Altis as soon as possible, but I don't expect it to show up until launch regardless if it's finished or not. Seems Kotaku is doing the mistake by calling Stratis for Altis. Congrats to Leon86 for making the cover, however: http://kotaku.com/altis-the-main-island-in-arma-iii-is-a-dangerous-plac-515089411

You do realize you're replying to a 12 days old post referring to the pre-E3 livestream, where BI was going to have a sneak peek of Altis, yes? Not to worry though. You can find the recordings of the livestream here, if you haven't seen them: http://www.twitch.tv/arma3official/videos?kind=past_broadcasts :)

You're not that far from the thread. :) http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?72049-The-Username-Change-Merge-Thread

This is really a strange direction, but it might be interesting. Perhaps NASA will be interested in a Virtual Marsspace ;)

Aaaand we got ourselves a winner!

In terms of gaming websites I'm 100% sure Gamespot and Gametrailers will be there. I think we managed to get one of the live feeds from Gamespot to go the BI booth twice last time ;) But I'm sure there are more then that.

The all new: Ask a moderator about the forum & rules
Colossus replied to Placebo's topic in OFFTOPIC
On another note. Since the livestreams are now over and that E3 is just around the corner - and we got new threads for E3 - the 'Arma 3 - Pre-E3 Livestream Hangouts' thread has done its duty, has it not? Irrelevant now. :) -
It must be sim related, otherwise why the name? So.. Got Kerbal for that. If so, this might be Placebo's idea :p If shocking was meant sarcastically. Warnings, infractions, thread locking and banning is all a thing of the past. Introducing a virtually interactive way of moderating your forum! Take On Moderating takes you into a FPS world where every member of your forum is a virtual character. Infraction? Use the boot! Thread locking? Kick everyone out of the room! Banning? Swing the bat and hope for the best! Supports Ikonboard 1.0 Build 2 2012 and vBulletin 4.2.0

Thanks for the second livestream and the sneak peek of Altis. That map is huuuge! Dibs on jogging from the south-west and to the north-east side on foot. :D And you know what ArmA 3 needs? A pedometer. ;)

Pettka just posted on twitter:

Which was a very cool surprise. I did not expect such a feature to be included. Everything through scripts, I though. Can't wait to see Altis tomorrow. I just hope they'll fly around Altis a bit with their new helicopters. Perhaps the Ghosthawk? ;)

It could really use some moderation. Too much unneeded bs.. :icon_neutral: On the other hand it looks like the streaming is working good :)

About to get live, folks :D
-
Hm, I forgot to do this. Done! ;)

Nice screenshots and article :D But it's not added to bistudio.com's devblog yet. I guess there is a 'green' invasion happening soon. :)

Not necessarily true if you're only looking for a populated server. Which is why an exclusion filter would be very beneficial. Not only for DayZ, mind you, but anything you'd like to exclude, whether it's a certain mod or mission.

Well, if you run ArmA 2 on low then you shouldn't expect ArmA 3 to run any better. ArmA 2 uses DirectX 9, whiles ArmA 3 uses DirectX 10/11. You can guess from here what the means for graphical improvements. It's a few. :) All in all, with better graphics comes the need for a better computer. If I may ask, what computer specs do you have?

So... what's your Steam mileage so far?
Colossus replied to Simas's topic in ARMA 3 - BETA DISCUSSION
20 hours actually. Kinda sad, but it will change when we get a more complete game. For now it's just for testing. -
There are no spies around here.. Not to worry, I took a screenshot before it got changed. :blues:
