  1. That's unfortunate. It would come in very handy at times in PR:BF2.
  2. Eagerly awaiting the next news update! Also, do you guys have plans to include a grappling hook? Or is it very difficult with ArmA's physics?
  3. Yeah, just release it with a disclaimer saying it's not finished and updates will follow. I think that's the best choice, and it allows people to leave more feedback.
  4. Voted "Release what is ready and deliver the rest via updates (campaigns and missions partially working)". Assuming what is ready does not mean very glitchy, i'm all for this. Very excited, can't wait!
  5. Just downloaded from Yoma, very nice pack, great to see the CWC islands again! But could someone please tell me how to install it? On the wiki page, it says to activate the installer etc, but I don't believe I have that. Yoma just put a folder called "x" into my arma2 folder. In that there were four other folders, titled "ofp_custom_isl", "oac", "cwc_isl", "caa1", and "ofp_base". Each of these has an addons folder in them, so I thought that I would just take them out of the "x" folder and add "@" infront of each of the four subfolders and add them into the target line of my ArmA 2 CO shortcut (for testing, I plan on using them later with ACE2), but I got all kinds of missing addon messages, missing signs before game even starts, missing scopes in the editor, missing this or that, but Kolgujev seems to work fine, even with the missing addon messages, though I don't know where the signs are supposed to be and if they are missing or not. Also, I can only see the CWC islands in the editor island list. Is there a particular order I have to load them in? Any help would be appreciated, thanks, and great pack! EDIT: *sigh*, I ended up spelling one of the folders wrong. it works fine now. But I still am running about six folders to get the full pack running, would it work if I just put all the addons into one folder with the keys etc in the subfolders?
  6. Yeah, unfortunately I think that we will have to wait awhile. I'm sure that it will be worth it though. Please tell me the deployable chairs are back? :)
  7. Very excited about this. FDF was my favourite mod for OPF, right up there with WGL. It was a great high quality mod. I was floored when I found out you could carry folding chairs (deploy chair, anyone)? Unfortunately I skipped it for ArmA because of the QG requirement. I definately won't miss this release though, great work! I'm hoping to see re-makes of the amazing FDF islands from OPF!
  8. Hello. I was just wondering if I should download the Yoma version of this or wait for the full release? If I do download Yoma, will there be a patch released or will I have to re-download the entire pack? Hope this project is still going, I loved WGL IP and ACE IP. Keep up the good work!
  9. Can't wait for this. I'd offer to help but i'm quite useless when it comes to modding. Great work!
  10. Good job ACE team, as usual. Can't wait to try it. Would it be possible to include zipcuffs in the equipment section for detaining people?

    ACE co-op servers?

Hey all! I noticed that there seems to be a serious lack of ACE missions (besides domination which half the time are empty). Are there any servers that I seem to be missing that run any ACE missions such as co-op or even adversarial, don't mind really. Can anybody recommend one? Thanks in advance!
  12. Hey all! I am working on a civilian mission and am trying to use SPON money script. I downloaded SPON Core and Money and followed the readme, but it still does not work. I was wondering if anybody could spot a problem with the way I copied it. Here is what is in the data files in my mission's folder: description.ext:#include "SPON\Core\ui\core.hpp" extension.ext: #include "SPON\Core\ui\common.hpp" #include "SPON\Money\ui\shop.hpp" #include "SPON\Money\ui\bank.hpp" init.sqs: [] call compile preprocessFileLineNumbers "SPON\Core\initCore.sqf"; [["prices.sqf"]] call compile preprocessFileLineNumbers "SPON\Money\initMoney.sqf"; stringtable.csv: LANGUAGE, "English" #include "SPON\Core\stringtable.csv" LANGUAGE,"English","Czech","German","Polish","Russian","French","Spanish","Italian" // Shopping. STR_SPON_SHOP_ACTION, "Browse Shop" STR_SPON_SHOP_DEFAULT_NAME, "Shop" STR_SPON_SHOP_BUY_BUTTON, "Buy" STR_SPON_SHOP_SELL_BUTTON, "Sell" STR_SPON_SHOP_PLAYER_TITLE, "Gear" // Banking. STR_SPON_BANK_ACTION, "Bank" STR_SPON_BANK_DEFAULT_NAME, "Bank" STR_SPON_BANK_WITHDRAW_BUTTON, "Withdraw" STR_SPON_BANK_DEPOSIT_BUTTON, "Deposit" // Shopping & Banking. STR_SPON_MONEY_CLOSE_BUTTON, "Close" STR_SPON_MONEY_NUMBER_SEPERATOR, ",", ".", ".", ".", ".", ".", ".", "." I put in a flagpole, which I wish to function like an ATM machine. This is what I put in its initialization line: [this] call SPON_setBank;. There is also a SPON folder, and in that folder, is Core and Money. If anyone would be able to help, I would really appreciate it. Also, would anybody be able to tell me how I would create a carshop? Once I get the money system working, of course. It would have to check how much money you have in your inventory, and if you have enough to purchase the item. Also, if anybody can recommend an "inventory" script, I would appreciate it. I plan to add custom cars, and possibly BIS ones as well. Thanks!

    ACE co-op servers?

I wish there were some Domination game types where it's East vs West, but humans can join both sides and fight each other.
  14. Hey all! So I was wondering if there was a mod or addon or whatever that makes the armor combat realistic, with penetration data and realistic armor thickness and all that jazz (modern armored combat). I have WGL 5.12 and it's great, but is there anything better? Also tried the LIBMOD system, seems cool. So does anyone know of such a mod? Â Thanks for any help!
  15. Ok, thanks. I guess i'll try the FFUR mod then.

    Harrier?

Hey all! I'm trying to get into flying in ArmA and ACE, and I noticed that when I start in Harrier and set it to auto-hover, I see the nozzles point down, but when I increase the power, the nozzles start slowly pointing backwards and all I can do is a short takeoff, not a vertical takeoff. I thought I remember being able to take off vertically? Or is it my imagination? Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
  18. NICE!!! Will the armor system from OFP be the same/better in ArmA 2?

    BattlEye problems

Oh sorry, and thanks. But there's a wierd thing with this. I went into local settings and replaced the beclient file with one that somebody linked on the SL forums, and then replaced the beclient and beserver files in arma-->battle eye from program files, and it worked! BUT! I logged off and tried to reconnect, and it started doing the same thing again. So I re-overwrote the files I mentioned previously, and it worked again. However, now I can't figure out the exact order I replaced the files in, and can't get it to work anymore. This is strange? What made it work once when I overwrote the files then just stop working again after I log off?
  20. Hey all! So I guess it's time to finally update my internet connection (about damn time). As you may have guessed I currently have dial up. I'm sort of a cheap person, what is the best deal you guys recommend? I have never really researched any internet connections. I live in the United States, Central time zone, if it helps. So any suggestions? Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

    Dial up trouble (lol!)

Hi, thanks for responding! Sorry some rl stuff came up. I ended up going with DSL it seems like a good connection for the price? It seems to cause me some serious Battle Eye problems, but hopefully I can get those worked out.

    BattlEye problems

Hey all! I recently upgraded from dial up to DSL, but a problem with my connection just arose concerning Battle Eye. I tried to join the SL 1.69 server (I tried on a different server with Battle Eye so i'm pretty sure its not the server), and I do the Receiving Data thing, it says "Battle Eye client: Initialized, then in about 33 seconds, it's pretty much the exact same amount of time every time, I get the error message "Kicked by Battle Eye: Client not responding." Happens I believe at almost exactly the same amount of time after it's done receiving data. But the part I don't get is that before I got DSL, I didn't have this problem while trying to play with dial up (when I didn't get session lost for long load time that is, but that's besides the point). When I managed to get in when I had dial up, it usually let me stay for a long time. Now, with DSL, I get past the receiving data no problem, but this kicked for client not responding is confusing me. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks! EDIT: I opened my be client file in local setting etc with notepad and here's what it says: TLOSS error SING error DOMAIN error R6034 An application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly. OFP Addon request thread

Can anybody tell me where I can get the latest version of Nogville? None of the links in the Nogville thread worked. If there was a version of Nogville that I could play in singleplayer by myself can I have the link to that version as well as the latest version of Nogville? Thanks for any help!!!
