I'm getting exactly the same thing! -
I managed to get in the first round this morning, I was wearing my clan tags of [uNA] Owl. Having played BIS games since 2002 It was really cool playing with you guys, thanks for the opportunity. I got a bit of video footage, hopefully I'll get it on youtube later.

Campaign Episode 1: SURVIVE - Feedback thread ** SPOILER WARNING! **
tekgun2 replied to maddogx's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
Yep I think it's great, reminds me a lot of Ofp/Resistance campaign, which imo is the best single player campaign of any game out there. Really good work guys, can't wait till episode two. -
Just noticed this, I take it Wikipedia is wrong and A3 is still CPU only PhysX?
-
Just start the game go to > play > multiplayer > new > change from LAN to Internet > set password if you want. Then your friend just needs to filter for your PC name or you can invite him.
-
What does that do? ---------- Post added at 21:25 ---------- Previous post was at 20:49 ---------- I appreciate you trying to help but I think you are way off track, besides as default the F keys are for selecting Units under your command. This is not due to "free look" if that's what you are implying. I can be playing normally with the FOV centred as normal, then all of a sudden for no apparent reason the centre of my FOV will shift upwards.
-
Reset what exactly, did you actually watch the video?
-
So I'm experiencing this really frustrating bug, where my FOV seems to shift upwards. Now I had this with the early Alphas, but it seemed to be fixed in the very last Alpha before the Beta was released, now on Beta it's back with a vengeance. This appears to be totally random, apart from I only get it when I'm on dedicated servers with other players on. I have had it at the start of games, but more often than not it just seems to happen during normal play. So I can be playing normally go to use my rifle and yea it's almost impossible to play. I uploaded a video to hopefully explain a little better. Once this has happened I can fix it by entering the menu and selecting one of the options, for instance "controls". There is one bug reported in the Feedback Tracker, that while it's similar it's not identical 4009. I have added my bug to that but I'm wondering if I should report this as a separate event, what do you guys think? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OSUNA7P9OjY

Player's avatar should Automatically raise their weapon after closing the Map
tekgun2 replied to -=seany=-'s topic in ARMA 3 - BETA DISCUSSION
It's right how it is, you are not checking the map with your gun raised, so it makes sense when you close the map that the weapon will be lowered. Also as already been mentioned it helps to prevent accidents. -
I find it hard to believe people will be persuaded to buy this game just because they include achievements/stat tracking etc. As for people wandering doing their own thing, that happens anyway in arma2, there's always been rambos and lone wolfs.

Yet calling someone a liar with no evidence is fine, seriously :a:

For COOP no For PvP yep

How nice of Gabe to allow me to do something I'm legally supposed to be allowed to do (in Europe anyway)

I also would like more information about running dedicated servers, are we going to have to run Steam software on the servers as well, and what else if anything is going to change with regards to running a dedi?
-
I like Steam and have a lot of games on there, but I don't use it for ArmA2. I have a slight concern about how this will affect running a dedicated server. At the moment myself and the clan I'm in have a great deal of control over how we operate our ARmA2 servers, I wonder if this is going to change with the interaction of Steam?
