I wouldn't try to guess any new advancements of AI behavior from any of the screens as a lot of them are staged for snapshots. Won't really know or see anything till we get videos showing the AI in action on hopefully a setting other than easy.

regarding holding weapons up, there is a lower weapon function (tap left ctrl twice for the default bind). It doesn't work with pistols and launchers though.

Arma 3 Community Alpha - Announcement!

Yeah as MadDogX pointed out, they are not making us pay for the alpha and beta testing. The idea is just currently being discussed because....well why the fuck not? We got several months before we'll even see what we may be in for at E3. -

I'm against the idea of paying for testing the alpha and beta (for ArmA3). It's going against the openness that BIS has had with the community in similar ventures with the current beta patch system and the Community Preview for Take On. -
It's the lighting. The glass visor bits over his eyes don't help matters.

Gonna be a long spring and summer -
Indeed he does. As someone mentioned, it looks like there maybe be a custom camo option for helmets, that or it'll be a separate helmet altogether.

indeed, no point going with one without the other. BTW an idea for an expansion in the game assuming my memory serves me correct and it was stated the "nuclear gloves came off" would be to visit some of the areas that saw some of that action, and get some kind of post apocalyptic feel going on. I know BIS loves making new, and beautiful terrains, but a change of pace by making an entire region that looks like it was on the receiving end of some rampage by genetically enhanced fire breathing retard rage babies for several years would be a nice change of scenery.
-
You know I was about to ask why there is a 12 page discussion over the change of an already vague release schedule for this game....but then I realized we've been getting recycled bits of the same info since september. Dammit BIS i wants new info!

I thought the same. Unfortunate high res versions of that image won't be out till later. -
Don't suppose we can have high res versions of those 6 images could we?
-
Fix the game how? By adding said m4's and ak's? That's not a fix if their absence was intentional.
-
Top right corner of what, the image of the Famas variants, or the image of the Iranian soldiers standing around a mine entrance? Either way, no Iranian is carrying a famas.
-
Definitely not a Galil. If you look going with the orientation the gun is facing which is down, on the left of the barrel there is a flip up sight that's folded down, and on the right is the gasblock and gas tube. The KAC LMG seems like the more likely choice, though how Iran would have ended up with them is probably a bigger head scratcher than the Israeli weapons.
-
It probably won't be much different than the current UAV system probably with a terminal of some sort. I like the idea of UGV's in the the game allowing for scouts to move ahead of convoy groups in particular, scouting ahead, taking care of any potential threats to the live convoy a little ways behind. Of course what you describe is also nice as well as in conjunction with UAV's from the air. Multiple views of an area with very limited risk to the players themselves. And if people don't want to use them, they don't have to.

It was so pre-alpha, they didn't even have inventory pictures for most of the items in the demo itself.

I think it's more of he saw something that the rest of use haven't seen yet possibly. Hopefully that'll be rectified soon.

I dunno if this has been touched on, or can be, but what about the sounds of turrets moving? From humvees to tanks I don't think I've heard too many cases of soundmods changing that particular sound.
-
Just like to add that I'm gradually finding out how awesome 1.4 is. Had an apache doing CAS last night, and the sounds of the 30mm rounds 'swishing' overhead was awesome. In fact a lot of the passing and incoming sounds for rounds sound great, especially for mortars and artillery.

yeah the bad flooding overseas made harddrive prices triple for some models. Good luck on the array. -
Additionally I think said water is a similar brew from the one seen being drank in the classic Techno Viking video, only instead of epic dancing...it turns game devs into furries...

It means them Czechs have some strange fetishes brought on by what ever they put in that bottled water
