I don't mean this as an insult, only tongue-in-cheek, but I pride myself on Predator quotes and really I just wanted to join in. Other films... not so much :) It's THE film for cheesy quotes.     I say fork out a few pounds/dollars/euros and get Arma2, then you can troll on BluesNews about that legitimately ;) I'm just messin'.
  7. Jesus! I'm not island maker, but I can see the huge advantage this offers modders. Bravo! Hopefully we'll be seeing some truly inspired locations!
  8. It's rare that a games journalist even scratches the surface of Arma2. Still it's nice to see appreciation when they do. Arma2 simply offers so much more than mainstream titles. Is this so hard to understand? Seems so, in the majority of cases.

  11. Looking amazing as usual. Too bad Arma2 has brought in a few limitations since ArmA1, but ACE2 will make the best of it :)

  13. I don't think it is necessary to make the character slow down before stopping or take a while to get to full sprint. Shooting running AI with them only to stop dead is one of my few pet hates about Arma2.

    Looking great! Too bad about the reduced manpower, but good on you keeping the mod going.
  18. Blimey! about the movement speeds. Realistic values might be a downer for some, but I think it'd be my cup of tea, especially if it slows the AI. Also the sped up animations include some of the crawl and ladder animations, which are highly exaggerated in order to make it less boring for the player (I guess).

  20. Looks outstanding. I don't know if it's been asked/answered, but is 'camera shake' utilised for simulating shock (e.g. from explosions), or does the game not make it possible?
  21. Good work Stalker, do it at your own pace, nobody else's. We appreciate the time you're putting into this.
  22. If there was a really uncomfortably loud noise near your face I think you might just flinch or want to move away slightly. Since this can't be simulated in-game with high volume, I think a little blur to remind you to move away (and simulate a flinch/discomfort) is reasonable.
