This, bolded. This is not RHS' problem. This is a spoiled consumer problem. Did I like the direction that ArmA 3 took with their future setting? No. But that doesn't give me the right to start making demands of the free content makers that actually gave me what I wanted for free, on their free time. The "I want it, and I want it now" mentality and generation has got to stop, it will only serve to divide this community further and reduce the amount of content we end up receiving in the end. Thanks RHS team you don't have to give us a single drop of content and some people don't realize that. I am forever grateful. -

Still believe OFP/ArmA/ArmA2 sounds were better. At least distance and direction wise which is the most important factor for me. -
It actually dates back to OFP. Though back then if I remember correctly you could order your men to change weapons via 0-8-(radio action)-change to MP5

This is very very disheartening,what a kick to the virtual stomach :( I don't think I remember a time BI regressed so much. Don't get me wrong I love BI but you cannot really ignore the loss. :( Can't help but think of the saying "Be careful for what you ask for" Thank you LJ, as always, for your hard work!

Do we not realize that BIS created the framework and engine any code is based on in the first place? Tomorrow, if they wanted they could kill the modding community, like that! Their "thanks" is the opportunity to even create it in their platform in the first place IMHO. Now don't get me wrong I fully support thanking any independent content creators and giving credit where credit is due, especially when it comes from the community side- but the expectation that BIS somehow owes anyone anything is silly, it is us that are at the mercy of BIS whether or not that's good or bad can be debated and has been. -

If this is true(I can't test it atm) then this is truly a sad day. Sounds that aren't affected by distance as well as sounds that are not directionally regulated is a real deal breaker one that even OFP iirc did well so I'm a bit confused. But like I said I can't test it for my self I really hope this isn't the case.
