I want the dxdll nightvision from ofp in ArmA. That may be not realistic, but with that i could at least see something at night. Changing the hdr precision does not help with the nvg problem, and disables AA completely.
-
I have the same problems with the nvg`s, and i`m sick of it. I tried a few different hdr precession settings, but that didn`t helped a bit for the nvg problem.

It is really illegal, no matter how many say it`s not. You have to decompile the exe (Reverse Engeneering) to remove the copy protection, what is illegal. Additionally, here in Germany it is illegal to bypass a copy protection at all. @oCHaos.DNJ Stop this No-CD Crack promoting, or face the consequences.

You have to pay, to get an fixed IP from your ISP. I think there is no way around that, they can charge money for it, so they`ll do.

Even if i would get Crysis for free on the day this mod get released, i would play CWR to death and not touch Crysis for days. There are many people that are waiting for this, thats sure.

I did some testing with v.1.0. In ~6 hours of testing i had no crashes. The AI is not able to use the highways properly, but that the AI can`t drive is nothing new. The performance is better than in the open beta, especially around the market. Why are the runway segments shown as "house" in the editor? The DC-3 always try to land between the runways and crashes into the small buildings. But it looks like A-10 do have no problem to land on the runway.

I`ll see if it will crash for me too, or not. Have waited for the release of this town.

The heli-transport do not work with the standard Blackhawk, it only works with the transport helicopter.

My First Attempt on Retex

Post in Addons and Mods Complete too. -
The only thing i`m waiting for, would be a fix for the "NVG-System", and the lights at night. NVG`s are nearly useless, even instrument lights in an car blinding you. The lights are way too dim, and at the same time the night-hdr effect? totally overreacts. To drive a car without nvg`s is impossible, because the vehicle light is not bright enough. With nvg`s in use, they get blinded even by the light of the stars. So i´m completely lost at night, while the AI sees perfect even in the darkest of all nights, without using nvg`s. How`s about a fix for that? Without i can`t even think about doing night missions.

Crysis Sandbox 2 : The model to follow for Arma2?
Mr_Tea replied to EricM's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - SUGGESTIONS
Judging by the screens, posted by shin Raiden, there is no AI in Crysis. Only good looking graphics, and a hole lot of scripts that make things going. What can the Crysis AI archive on it`s own, without waypoints and scripts to tell them exactly what to do? OnTopic: There are mods incoming, or released for ArmA that allow realtime missing editing in 3D. -
Thanks for the mirror. I downloaded the file from the only available mirror provided for the US version of XAM 1.3:05.
-
That HDR implementation makes Nvg`s near to useless, and i really want an fucking option to turn it off completely. To implement HDR hardcoded, was one of worst ideas BI had for ArmA.
-
Are there any other mirrors for the "US" release. It took more than 4 hours because of the server was in heavy use, and all i got was an corrupted download. I use an download manager and never had that problem, if the files on the server where ok. So any mirrors would be nice.

Most games are only an entertainment over a longer time, because of the modifications. If you have to ask yourself what you are doing, you should "study" a bit, or a bit more. I play Oblivion, for example, that heavily modded that the game played on the 360 is nothing but a lame joke. A console has no chance to get bought by me. Have you checked the prices for PC hardware lately? They are in free fall, 2GB DDR2 Ram ~40€.
-
I prefer my PC, much relaxing to sit in front of my HD TV that i use to play PC games. I use mod`s for every game i play, and would never had that freedom of choice on an 360, or any other console. Last but not least, i prefer to build my PC`s by my self and that does not work that well for consoles.

Because they are used in reality. And they are a nice addition for mission making, especially when you have the ability to call some tomahawks, like it was possible in OFP with coc arty.

weird error after the update
Mr_Tea replied to thekreator's topic in ARMA - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
That bug is known, and caused by unofficial addons. You have to test out what addon you are using is causing this. But if you test ArmA without addons, you`ll see instantly that this is not an bug in ArmA itself. -
The vehicles may be locked, and that`s what they most probably be in reality.

Operation Flashpoint 2 officially announced
Mr_Tea replied to imported_bör's topic in OFFTOPIC - Games & Gaming
Codemasters officially stated, that all OFP2 screenshots released until now are "targetshots". What means all screens are edited or rendered, too look like they want OFP2 looks when it`s done. That much for the impressing OFP2 screenies. -
That may be the truth, but you will see a big difference with 2GB of RAM. Not that it should work that bad at all with that videocard, since i use the same card with much better performance. The question is, what OS SpaceReverend used to play ArmA. The "Flush" command: Hold "Shift" and press "-" on the numpad, than type "flush". I think you need to press "Enter" after that.
-
Yeah, he reloads while crouch walking sideways. The videos looking very promising, but that was the same for ArmA pre-release videos. Let`s wait for the demo, and the first big patch before we buy it.
-
It`s still a demo, what do you expect?
-
The rule is so simple. One (1) copy per Computer, more installations from one copy are illegal. The only way two installations are allowed, is to use ArmA with two different OS`s on one rig. To make it even more simple, one player per copy of ArmA.

That Suma posted, that the autocenter-bullshit will not get fixed for ArmA, but for ArmA II pisses me off. Why the hell should i believe, that some bugs can be fixed at all. They could be a sign that something is wrong with the engine itself. The bugs in ArmA II will than be fixed in ArmA III, or what? btw. When will we get patch 1.09? To release an unfinished game is normal this days, but at least the MAJOR bugs should be fixed with patches. To say, we will fix that in the next game, is simply not acceptable, no way.
