Tony, Superb work. I have just played your test missions and am VERY pleased with what I have seen so far. What I am doing is using your FFN mod for combat behaviour, GL3 for Advance to Contact (and arty etc) and ECS for other environment tweaks --- AND ACE of course as the main one. So far it seems to be running smoothly! Will let you know how it goes on my dedicated server running WACO 1.1.6e today Thankyou VERY MUCH ! [TAO] Kremator

Okies an update. Â Here is what I did to test. 1.14 in editor - M1A1 as commander or driver - all other gunners autofire M113 as driver - gunner fires BRDM as driver - gunner fires 1.15beta in editor - M1A1 as commander or driver - all other gunners autofire M113 as driver - gunner fires BRDM as driver - gunner fires In SP mode everything is fine. BUT 1.14 and 1.15beta IN MISSIONS - gunners do NOT fire automatically with or without addons This is driving me MAD ! Can readers of this thread PLEASE confirm that the AI (in vehicles YOU are in) target and engage automatically please. Could we have a comment (if possible please) from BIS programmer gurus? Thanks 11aTony. I do run ACE and InstantViewDistance mods but thats it. I'll run a vanilla 1.15beta and see if it works in the editor. Prior to this is ran the same mission (with ACE and IVD) in 1.14 and the gunner and commanders would fire automatically (if i was driver) but when I changed the commandline to -beta then they stopped firing. I will report back when I've tested some more - but I'm glad that it works for you. Appreciate your feedback - anyone else confirm/deny? [TAO] Kremator

Doomguy, Is there a way to force AI in your vehicles to fire automatically at targets without giving them manual targets ? I can't find anyone to comment presently, but hope this is something you can force Cheers, [TAO] Kremator PS don't worry about all those rifles - far too many in my opinion from ACE team. Â PPS okies heres an idea about refuelling/rearming - what about MIDAIR refuelling/rearming ? Â Noone has done that yet - an aircraft flying a racetrack pattern where, if you get within 50m it refuels/rearms your aircraft.

Wow 100 pages already ! Congratulations! Could the ACE team address the fact that AI gunners are not engaging automatically in player driven vehicles please? I'm not sure how one would go about doing this but I'm sure you could restore functionality. Apart from that 1.04 is great ! [TAO] Kremator -

I have found that IVD distance works perfectly with ACE. I have noticed no problems at all. Not sure what else is happening with you..... are IVD and ACE the only mods you are running ? [TAO] Kremator -
Totally agree that FFN is superb. I just can't use it currently due to the slowdown it causes with a variable conflict. I'm sure Tony is close to release - he said so recently - and I CAN'T WAIT [TAO] Kremator

Switch to Remote is a Mando missiles thing where the warheads are looking for a laser designator. I'm not sure if the LDs have the Mando Laser function on them - its not too hard to put it in at all. I have done that in my missions quite easily - although not with ACE LDs. [TAO] Kremator -
Well I have sorted the auto-rearm at Paraiso airport if you are interested. Need to work on the deadly AAA vehicles ! You now NEED to concentrate on taking out aircraft as soon as they appear. Will keep fly-boys like me on my toes ! [TAO] Kremator PS next I need to put Mando Missile flares onto your aircraft !

I can really recommend the new core i7 processors. Fast and more cores than you can shake a stick at ! VERY overclockable too ! Here's hoping that Arma2 can use all 4 cores. So start saving now. [TAO] Kremator

Thanks for keeping up with all these ACE changes Doomguy. Did you give any thought to the auto rearm at paraiso airport ? To counter any advantage all you have to do is add Mando Guns to the AAA vehicles to stop them smiling Have done that with a few missions now and it works very well. [TAO] Kremator PS That Su30 you put in is LOVELY !! I buzzed a friend of mine on my dedi server when I was hitting in excess of 950 !! **WHOOSH**

I can confirm that its FFN mod causing it. Â When I run FFN on its own I get the error all the time. Â This causes quite a SERIOUS slowdown. Any luck in finding the source Tony? Â I get my super rig from about 60FPS to 8FPS [TAO] Kremator PS in fact - this seems to crash my dedi server *SNIFF*
