Testing it now mate .... will report back. Okies tested it quite thoroughly with another human ! Firstly I LOVE this revive ! However there are a few things that need fixing. When my partner died for the first time he really dies (no moving head! and he ended up on the island (and dropped out of my team) and had to manually press ESC and respawn. He could then go to mobile and seemed to rejoin my team - wierd. Next I found the AI on my side were difficult to handle. If I told them to move they would only do so if they were in pairs (for fire and maneuver) and rejoining formation with me took AGES. I reckon this is ACE getting the AI to scan for targets and if found they will engage or watch. They would take out their binos and watch an enemy approach instead of nailing them sometimes. The H for help works well - like the new movable camera BUT its too fast in rotating. B for fade was fine but never really used it. All in all I think this is great. A much improved system - I even found the AI administer morphine and bandages IF they were close enough. Perhaps an idea would be for them to take enough morphine, bandages and epinephrine from mobile spawn (or other med tents), or if they are getting low on bandages to get them off fallen enemy - just an idea. Keep it up mate. This SHOULD be the standard for ALL missions and therefore should be put COMPLETELY into ACE. [TAO] Kremator

To other players, I'm playing you mod in conjunction with ACE mod and finding that the server really struggles. Has anyone been able to modify all the ACE functions so that FFN mod can take over engagement (without leading to any other dependency problems! ? If you go into ace_clientside_config.txt in the Dta folder Change the line to read #define ACE_RADIO_SILENT Hey presto ... no voices ! Works like a charm - AI react faster too ... becuase they dont have to chat first. UNFORTUNATELY it doesn't take away the text, but are you wanting to make your life UNBELIEVEABLY difficult ? Norrin, Great script. Â I like the improvements BUT I had some problems with the mission. Now I'm running ACE and thats all. I found that the squad, at the start, were responsive and would engage at will and revive when called. Â Then after a while, perhaps they had been revived - I'm not sure, but they would not follow any move orders and would only fire if fired upon. Is this an ACE or revive script issue? As an aside - wouldnt it be GREAT if when 'downed' - ie unconscious the AI could come up to you and administer morphine, epinephrine and bandages in ACE. Â Hope you can make it so - I have seen medics do it in the mission but normal grunts should be able to patch you up a little. [TAO] Kremator

For info... Have you guys noticed a version of WACO and Bennys warfare on the servers ? Played it myself and I must admit it has the best of both worlds ! It does require a little tweaking here and there but only in minor details. [TAO] Kremator

I completely understand what you are saying Dr Eyeball. I'm only using .sara and .saralite versions. Viewdistance is around 3k. Addons that I use are InstantViewDistance and ACE 1.04. I will use the system some more and try to remember what happened before the crashes. Of course these crashes wont stop me using all the functions in MERLIN ! What have you got up your sleeve for the next version Dr Eyeball? [TAO] Kremator

LOL. I'm gonna have to report the same crashes. Dedi server stays up but clients crash. Has happened a few times but can't remember what Iwas doing. Sorry that I can't be more specific. I thought this bug was down to my system. [TAO] Kremator

Dear All, Could you check something for me please? I went back to 1.14 (for another reason) and found that the AI in my vehicles were engaging targets automatically AS THEY SHOULD ! Now when I went back to the beta I have to assign manual targets to my AI in order for them to engage. If my AI (on foot) engage without me giving them a target, why is it that they need a target in a vehicle? I think this is a VAST oversight on the beta and WHEN reinstated should make people respect armour again. Have a go and see what you think. [TAO] Kremator

As long as you have Extended Eventhandlers installed then it will work ...... However I do find that I have to enter a vehicle FIRST ... then it comes up as an option. Once I do that its permanently in my action menu. Hope this helps. [TAO] Kremator PS you could update to 1.1.6e but just keep ACE at 1.02.

That is possible Tony. I have just tried Manzilla's 'fix' but it doesn't. I have just tried FFN on its own and there is still a delay - so I'm not using ACE. Is it possible that a delay has crept into the MP? Ai/humans should stop any action as soon as they are hit (unless it is to put them unconscious. [TAO] Kremator

I'll have to pull apart the pbo to check. Although the proper spelling is DAMAGE it seems that DAMMAGE is used in arma Will try your fix Manzilla. [TAO] Kremator

For info ... Issue of AI not firing in human controlled vehicles is closer to being sorted. I have found out that ace_config_vehicle.pbo is causing the problem. Without it I am able to get my gunners to engage automatically! Hello Cobra pilots! Have opened a ticket, browsed through the .bin file but I'm a n00b at configs and can't find the problem. The ACE team will be able to sort it I'm sure. [TAO] Kremator -
Doomguy, Ihave been testing WACO 1.1.6 for a while and love it. Have you encountered any severe server lag though? Even only using ACE I get quite bad lag when all the AI are doing their tasks. Using #monitor 5 on the dedicated server shows that I'm getting between 5 and 10fps, when it starts off at 47fps. Any advice? [TAO] Kremator PS its even worse on TESTING MODE

I think I have sorted this .... it is an ACE problem. One of the files ace_config_vehicle.pbo causes the AI to not fire. Without that file AI happily nails enemy. Oooooh I'm happy again (or will be completely when ACE team fix it ! Thanks for all replies. [TAO] Kremator

Hi Tony, Would it be possible to release an ACE MP replacement? I have found several inconsistencies when running both mods - for instance the AI will continue to carry out an action when hit (when they should either die or fall unconscious) Cheers Still playing ..... [TAO] Kremator

Cheers Telix ..... on it now. Will report back. I've seen that ACE has quite a few AI enabled pbos and therefore I might look into which ones I can turn off. GL3 and FFN should be able to cope with most situations. [TAO] Kremator

LOL just tried out WACO 1.1.6e with all mods active. Just me and all rest AI. Server went to 1FPS. Not surprising really ! Will have to tweak settings. Working my way through the missions Tony. [TAO] Kremator PS anyone find out how to modify all these addons so that there is no conflicts ?

Had mine crash after about 90 mins. Haven't pinpointed it yet. [TAO] Kremator PS FFN MOD is out ! Go grab it for major WACO goodness
