Did anyone tried to do a cutscene with any unit talking? I did everything like always, and everything works fine, but the model does not open his mouth. I have the .lip file made with wavetolip from the mono .ogg sound file. But its not working. Not for any unit. Any idea? UPd. I tried the mission on A2. Lip sync worked fine. If anyone will have time to test lip sync on A3, please post here if it worked for you or not. -

not working for me at all in singleplayer. nor for player, either for AI. All done like said in readme and here.... Simple test mission, only 2 units. UPD. Started from a trigger with 5 sec. timeout 0=[player] spawn CWS_load. timeout made the thing Actually great system. finally I can drop the unreal armor of the bots. 4-6 shots sometimes to kill. now 2 is enough, like always. Is it possible to setup a reveive chance in percentage? Or is it random, when cws_ais_revive_guaranty is set to false? Maybe it would be nice to be able to set up this chance manually in the future. Moreover I would switch off the heal actions on enemy corpses, it causes bugs after first aid and I dont think somebody will want to heal enemies. At least this feature should be disablable UPD2: Not playable with teamswitch , key "U" in SP. All injured effects (tunnel view, shaking) remain after changing player/applying help (it means a healthy soldier has these effects and is not playable). Some script errors pop up also. It seems that there is no checking wether player unit has changed.. I wanted to use this system in my missions, but unfortunately it is still too raw and needs a lot of fixes. -
Yes! In DAYZ there must be some farmer slots, who are obtaining and selling food, they are 100% friendly and not to kill by survivors!

Ok. I made small and simple example mission to show new functionality of KBTell and working lip movement. So "say" command is now really obsolete. Call the small dialog with radio Alpha 0-0-1. All files have some comments, to understand the architecture. kbtell_tutorial.Stratis.rar -
I decided to pack my mission as Addon, because it has stringtable and must be preloaded. I created a folder "MyAddon" then put in it my mission "MyMission.Stratis" and put into "MYAddon" following config.cpp: class CfgMissions { class Missions { class MyMissionName { directory = "MyAddon\MyMission.Stratis"; }; }; }; then packed with BinPBO and put the addon in my Addons folder, but Arma 3 isnt reading this addon/config. I have no mission in scenarios and no entry in cfgmissions >> missions in the config. I have read a lot about it and I am doing 100% correct. where is the problem?

me too, lipsync working on player only! this crap ist fixed since alpha. Try using this: unit setRandomLip bool But imho it looks ugly. I want to hope BIS will answer hoe to make lipsync work properly in Arma3...

I found the new command, which only lets the character open the mouth randomly - not a best solution, but enough for now.. seems not to work on civilians. unit setRandomLip true; -
Easiest Way to get the Arma2 weapons into the Game

It is not so easy to do a port. You must edit and rewrite the config file, adding all new A3 parameters to the addon. So if you never seen a config file, you probably wont be able to port the gun by yourself. I would suggest you ask some modders in the addon editing section to do it for you :rolleyes:. Cuz it is here mission editiong section. -

same for me - I couldnt get most of the anims to work in A3. Only sitting and smoking or sitting playing with weapon run fine. Seems that not all sims are ported yet. Or there are new commands. -

Just for the information to the modding community pls comment if you are planning (if yes, then WHEN) to release Arma 3 Alpha ComRef, Classnames list, any tutorials of new features, tools ? because the bad shopsystem is not our problem. We are the customers and we pay money for the game to BIS. It is not first day BIS is living in the Internet world. They made the countdown, they knew exactly there will be a rush. It was their duty to organize the release accordingly, to prepare the host and the servers for high amount of connections. Now we have 7 hours passed since we bought the game and we have absolutely NOTHING for our money. Even not an clear explonation when we will get the download links and the content. Either we have any maoney back transactions. But on the other side all Steam purchases and downloads run smoothly and without problems. So we can make a conclusion, that this is just BIS who didnt prepare theirselves to the release and now is spitting upon their community and arma fans, who even wanted to support them more then others and now have to wait unknown period to start playing. Hope you can understand it. -

Martin, i am sorry that this happened to you. Unfortunately there are some people like that guy in Russia, who think they can earn money using work of others, this is really poor. Kindly asking you not to link this case and that guy to all Russian OFP/ARMA community. He has nothing to do with OFP/Arma fans. This is just the DAYz feaver which hit so successfull in into the crowd and that guy thought he is a smart businessman, who can use that wave and earn money on alt content mod. In my opinion his project will fail soon. What i could suggest you is to make detailed letter describing the illegal situation around your island and copyright content, mention there all copyrights (incl. Bohemia) which are misused by that mod. Then translate it into Russian and send to the vKontakte administration team whith a subject of copyright violation in the social group of this mod, with inquiry to close/block/delete their soc. group. Unfortunately the legislation in Russia doenst work very well, especially on such small cases like copyrights in the game. They even wouldnt open any file. Hope you will succeed against that swindler. P.S. and of course BIS should act on this issue also and block/blacklist that mod server, because the violations are visible fact. -
I don't know, may be it was already mentioned. To optimize sandbox abilities for creating dayz like RPG games it would be nice to have some features like: - savable properties of weapons i.e. status of weapon. Bad status - jamming, need to repair. - some config weapon properties (like precision/ fire speed etc.) can be changed during a mission on-the-fly by a script command. - some player config properties like camo can be changed during a mission on-the-fly by a script command. - And of course extended inventory engine, which enables equipping with different armor types, uniforms, weapon attachments etc. I think many of mentioned features are already on realization, hope we will see awesome sandbox enhancement for RPG mods/missions.

What if CryEngine was used as Arma 3 future engine?

I dont think Cry3 can handle such environment, freedom and big amount of units, indeed you will need a super computer in this case. During playing GTA IV I realized that it has near to everything what ARMA2 has, except ballistics, building damage and stuff. There are good physics, vehicles, choppers, large playground(more complexer than Arma2, as its is a city), not a bad AI etc.. I think Arma3 based on such engine is more realistic than an expensive(and believe me it is expensive) cryengine... Unfortunately original Arma engine becomes more and more nor up to date, with ist crappy physics, stupid AI, which cant fight in houses or cities and can see through grass walls etc... I think if Arma3 has any future, so definetely the engine must be reworked by 80%, or the game will not be actual... But in any case BI has our full support and should keep such great project alive in the future.
