  1. Is this a mission you've made yourself or someone else? Is it something where you can load up and see poor performance every time, compared to being in an empty editor?
  2. People with performance issues need to be as clear and concise about their problem as possible. Reading posts I see multiple separate issues being mentioned and people are confusing them/treating them as the same issue. The multiplayer server performance linked to client performance issue. The bad client scripts performance issue. The client side AI performance issue/CPU under-use issue. The view distance/object loading causing serious CPU strain issue. I've probably missed out a few but there's a quick list. You may have 2 or more of the above issues at the same time, they do however need to be treated as separate issues if we want BI to investigate and fix.

    Have you tried turning off any antivirus or firewall software you have installed? What type of computer do you have? Have you changed anything recently? software or hardware.

  5. Virus/malware/fragmented hard drive or slow hard drive/overzealous anti virus *Edit: this was during multiplayer? the problem is most likely out of your control, sorry.

  7. A compromise, large guns like sniper rifles and MGs auto drop if the barrel would clip through a building, small guns like PDWs/small rifles/pistols don't. They'd sort of have the players arms move backward to provide enough room for the gun.

  13. Other than wait for a potential patch from the developers in the future there isn't much you can do. The ideas given by people in the thread may help people with lower-end hardware but I don't believe they'll help you. You've reached the limits of the game and its engine in its current state. Sorry. Oh, you need to look at SP and MP FPS as separate problems, MP is a whole other issue.

    low FPS on high end PC

    Don't use the ingame fps value to view it. The game is paused, this lessens the load on the machine and alters the value. MSI Afterburner + Rivatuner Stat server would be better, or any other fps monitor tool (other than fraps, avoid that).

From seeing a video about a month ago, it'll make no difference. ---------- Post added at 19:50 ---------- Previous post was at 19:33 ---------- Titans and other massively overpriced piece of graphics hardware are not going to help improve FPS. You can't throw hardware at this problem and expect a linear increase in performance. The problem with the game is an incredibly complicated issue and it can't be reduced down to something non-technical individuals can really understand. Even technically minded people have issues due to the lack of knowledge of the codebase. It's really still a black box to people outside of BI. There's so many variable that factor into FPS too, it makes diagnosing issues frustrating at best. SP or MP, how many players, how many AI, server fps, were people joining at the time, what scripts are being run, server hardware, client settings, server settings. The list goes on. To reduce the number of potential issues while playing you need to keep the player count below 30 and not utilise all of Altis, which kinda defects the whole point of having such as massive map. Don't expect a quick fix as these performance issues have existed for literally years. There have been impressive gains of course, compare launch ArmA2 to A2:OA. I'd really like a nice long detailed monologue on the issue by the engine development team or just Suma, whatever happened to that guy? I've not seen him post on the forum since march.

  19. Have you tried disabling vsync? stuck at exactly 30fps makes me think its that. Disable it or enable triple buffering. Edit: The game has serious engine-related issues, we all know this and BI is working on it. However, your old CPU isn't helping things at all.
  20. The mission is working perfectly for me, try being less hostile when asking for help fixing your computer.

    Have you contacted the relevant parties that make these missions? Surely your problem should be directed toward them?

  24. Surely that's more for the rendering aspect, not AI logic?
  25. Your FPS is reliant on server FPS, a better benchmark is to try Stratis in the editor, alone.
