African foliage for ArmA II Latest version: v1.23 This addon contains 34 usable models that can be used too create a vast desert, savanna or jungle. The addon was previously released for ArmA in a un-finished state but now I have ported it over to ArmA II and completed all models that were in prior releases. Looking back I came a long way but now I must put the tree carving tools to rest finally. I just don't find the time nor motivation anymore these days and looking at the quality of the foliage these days It doesn't matter anymore. Now I can actually focus on playing games =). Hello, Finally installed ArmA 3 last week and it feels like i have to learn how to play the game all over again, especially when I still have OFP in the back of my head. Were in OFP i sometimes like John Rambo himself in ArmA 3 I feel like William The Conqueror when I kill three enemies... Have a look at my first adventure in ArmA 3, with the Scuba showcase. I have been playing this game also, even though i don't like flight games in general this one is very easy and fun to play. For the hard-core fans there are hardcore modes available. So far its already a great game and can't wait to see when they expand to ground and naval forces. :)

I was wondering if there are others on this forum that still play old/retro games. Obviously OFP is installed on every PC i have but a bit further back in time. Recently I installed Thief I and II (created by looking glass studios, now defunct). And wow I was still amazed how atmospheric this game is still, most modern games don't seem to interest me as much. With some effort you can play this game under XP on new hardware see here and here. I still have an old rig with Win98. Anyway, when I started to play Thief again I lost all sense of time ... truly amazing. Yesterday I completed Thief I Gold with some extra nice levels, now im busy with Thief II which I never really completed before. Another one I like is Blood from Monolith (can also be played in Dosbox or XP/Vista with some help of programs, heres a nice fansite). It uses the same engine as Duke3d and Shadow Warrior but its style is much different. To bad they never released the source code. Sometimes I still also play Transport Tycoon Deluxe using Open TTD One of the first games I played were: F29 Gods Supaplex - Look for Megaplex on google And a whole lot of NES games that I rarely could complete due the difficulty :P Most friends I know can't seem to look through the aged graphics and sound, but for me it doesn't matter how old the game is since the familiar look is good enough even after many years I still prolly be playing games like Doom. A good example how you can destroy a old game using modern graphics is the Doomsday engine for Doom games with 3d models.. I know people spend a lot of time creating new models but for me the sprites are far more detailed compared to these N64 like models with choppy animations..(heck I even thought that with my own first tree models I created for OFP) thats why crispy graphics doesn't mean anything. Anyone else still play old games? Please share... Â

I bought it and must say it isn't as bad as people write on the forums (also it is getting annoying since the Steam forums are a mess now). First of all its really captures the Duke feeling quite good. Also I didn't expect anything from this game so there weren't any unrealistic expectations to be shattered. It isn't great but isn't bad either but it is definitely fun. :cool: Same, but then again many so called good games are far shorter than this one.Multiplayer is fun aswell but would be better with dedicated servers though. :)

Hmmm ten years already... a lot happened in that time. Lots of trees have been hugged, shot, flattened and destroyed indeed. Still play the game from time to time, never gets old!

Hmm too bad I don't have and iPad or iPhone because it looks like fun. :(

I am very busy with school, so sorry for the long delay. Yea, maybe a long break should do the trick. Still have some things left I want to do. I don't get those errors, which Island are you using? Will look into this one, maybe some sort of left-over. Testing the new version now, does anyone have a test mission without addons that shows the AI can see through objects? Right now after a couple of runs through Lingor I didn't notice a problem that the AI could spot me through foliage from 2m away.

I will have a look at the AI see-through issue.

I am currently working on an update. Any more things I overlooked that needs fixing?

This minister clearly has his priorities wrong. Violent games are being sold for decades now and because people behind the cash register ignore the rules violent games must be banned for everyone, right that makes perfect sence. :rolleyes: I agree with DM and Disaster here. In the Netherlands violent people can go on leave (the idea alone is sickening) without security because of a sick person in the family while sentenced to jail. Oh yea, they dissapear ofcourse. He should focus his laser-sight on these more serious problems instead of innocent entertainment. :rolleyes: What a joke.

Hmm, trees that fall they become like ghost trees. Maybe it is intentional by BIS for the AI, nothing I can do about it.

Hmm I somehow forgot to add the lods to the old twisted jungle tree... really thought I added them since they were ready. Looking at the bright side, more fps can be gained. :o
