BI Developer's Blog: An interesting new entry
Undeceived replied to Undeceived's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - GENERAL
http://forums.bistudio.com/showpost.php?p=1883061&postcount=170 Edit: Well, if it's 520 meters then the position is EXACTLY on the Eyeplay building, I would say. -

That was in 2004 (look at the date). So I would guess that Mercer Street is already their new address. Edit: This confirms their location in Seattle: http://www.manta.com/c/mmgdr9z/eyeplay-inc But nevertheless their location is not so important for me: I just was pretty surprised reading the "Ep". ;) -

+ = Eyeplay is situated in exactly the building 500 m north of the first Street View position near the Space Needle. And now look how they abbreviate their company name on their homepage. :D :D EDIT: A picture showing again the location (Google Earth): http://www.eyeplay.com/flash/index.htm -
Yes, you're right! :) It's just that I was so relieved to see the reinforcements arrive and then: "You 4, go for it alone!" :) But no need to discuss, it's just 1% of a fantastic 99% points mod!

I really love the campaign, guys! Good missions, apart from one two design weaknesses.* Especially the finnish radio voices are THE thing that sets me back in good old OFP times! Thank you very much! I love it! *

BI Developer's Blog: An interesting new entry

Hm... This spot is on the Mercer Street 400 --> M.S.400 --> Therefore I checked 400 meters south of it (with Google Earth, which is quite helpful for this) but Street View doesn't reach it. It is between the Space Needle and the Experience Music Project building. So I would guess that "Mercer Street 400" is not related. Maybe really the parking signs are of meaning, since the one on the Mercer Street jumps in your eye instantly. On the other hand - - maybe it is just a trap and something else is important. No idea... BTW. If you turn around on the second position (Mercer Street), there is the KCTS 9 Television building. -

Hehe, the date that comes next week really is something we should consider! :) Btw. "Sense" in German means this: So much for Farma. :D -

I think that in this case they would post in on the BI Facebook page, not on the Arma 2 page. At least I hope that it is about A2 and not about CC. -

I don't think so. It was also posted on Arma 2's Facebook page, so I would say it is A2 related. The Facebook entry: -
Confusion regarding the "Reinforcements" DVD rom
Undeceived replied to stefos71's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - GENERAL
The devs said that you don't need A2 nor A2OA to play Arma 2: Reinforcements. Do you think that even so the RFT-campaigns won't work? Why is this so confusing for some people? Read this: http://forums.bistudio.com/showpost.php?p=1874615&postcount=14 This: http://forums.bistudio.com/showpost.php?p=1881711&postcount=17 And this (the yellow part): http://www.arma2.com/rft ...and you're done, the confusion should be removed. -
Cold War Rearmed² Discussion
Undeceived replied to W0lle's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
I am for option 1 too. I sincerely advise against option 3 with partially working missions! In this case the screaming and moaning because of the bugs and errors will be loud again... :(- 1308 replies

http://www.pcgamer.com/2011/03/21/interview-op-flash-red-river-creative-director-on-realism-co-op-and-the-state-of-pc-gaming/ (Sorry if this is old - I only checked 2 pages back) More gasoline for this thread!! :D Check what he says about "fun": "We’re making an entertainment product, and it should be fun, and I really don’t get much fun out of military simulations. They’re engaging, they’re immersive, but I wouldn’t call them fun."  HOLY CRAP!! All what I experienced in the last 10 years playing OPF and Arma was NOT fun!!! I am deeply shocked and am going to consult my psychologist tomorrow... :( -

No, of course not!!!!! :D :D -
+1 for Sahrani in Arma 2. But a completely new (big) island of course also would be great.

Congratulations for the release, guys!! Thanks a lot!

Poll:How many user missions in Missions,MPMissions & Campaign folder
Undeceived replied to MissionCreep's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - GENERAL
It seems you forgot this folder: C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\ArmA 2 OA\MPMissionsCache (Windows 7). There are more MP missions inside which are available for selecting ingame. :D -

Looking For Playable Warfare SP Mission
Undeceived replied to o0hostile0o's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - GENERAL
The last one of the Arma 2 SP scenarios is a warfare mission, if I remember correctly. You play as the resistance to free Chernarus. -
CLY Remove Dead script
Undeceived replied to celery's topic in ARMA 2 & OA : MISSIONS - Editing & Scripting
Oh dude, you spend 1,5 hours trying to find a right code snippet to delete dead bodies, then you stumble upon Celery's signature... This is just perfect, thanks a lot! :286: Btw. I love your simple scripts! They are what most of people need: SIMPLE, without lots of fancy pancy stuff! :) Thanks a lot, man, keep it up! -
This is the mission editing tutorial that I used when I started making scenarios: http://www.ofpec.com/tutorials/index.php?action=show&id=14 Unfortunately the pictures don't work and the tutorial apparently is under "overhauling" :( - I hope that the OFPEC staff fixes it quickly. Good luck!

Why THE HECK does the AI lay down without a reason?
Undeceived replied to Undeceived's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - GENERAL
Thanks, Sickboy. I took a look into the FSMs and even found the part where the civis go prone randomly when in danger. And theoretically it looks ok but in reality it is the question what exactly danger is! What I mean is: There is no danger in the scenes in my scenario! At least not a danger that I recognize. I would love to know what danger is for the AI so I could remove it, but I do not. I'm sure that the AI's "danger perception" is way too exaggerated! They even seem to see danger in other civilians (unarmed / no combat going on). Second point is that I have no clue how to fix BI's FSM. I could go and type in that they should not drop down and then save and pbo it, but by this I would change core game data, which I won't do. And I don't want to create new addons - this goes too far in my opinion. THIS IS WHY I soulfully ask BI if they please could fix this - or better said: That BI could redefine what danger is for the AI and tune it down properly so that the AI don't see danger in every bush (or also in friendly same-sided units [other civilians]).
