love to hear that, I do play without crosshair most of the time and the handgrenade is mostly practicing and lots of luck, especially with the floating aim to it's max. It sure looks nice and you truly are inventive -
I really would love to have a nice big detailed city, that would be useable for all types of urban combat. With such dept and detail that it would be just as good as an entire BIS-made island for all types of missions.

Damn! Solus that all sounds to good to be true, but looking at that list it seems, for me as someone without the needed knowledge, that you've done more then alone scripting, or did I get this wrong, can you show what you mean with -outstretched arm for grenade aiming? -
Found a handy tool for the xbox360 controller, I haven't used it that much because the ArmA profile was not set to flight but more for combat, one thing I did like about it was that I now can control the ingame menu with it, playes yet more like a console then. And so now and then I love to plug-in my notebook on my TV, so this is a perfect solution for getting that console feeling. Pinnacle Game Profiler After instal, reboot. Then the program start and shows you the games you have, it then search for updates for those games. It is a trial though

I just tryed it, and I must say that this is a better way to fly for me then with my wingmaster (way to twitchy) especially with all the extra buttons. It was some tweaking to find the right buttons for me but I guess I have the right set now, not sure about rudders though, really don't use them that much just because I don't see the use in them over turn/bank left/right but I don't have any knowledge about things like that.

I would love to have the "Kuifje" shark in the game ^^ (the one with cockpit) And I really enjoyed myself reading all of this, I have a 3DS model of a shark lying around here, btw. Had to make it for school, but you can find the tutorial on some 3D tut site, I actually pay for such education edit: just found out the "international" name for "Kuifje" it's Tintin, just for those of you who liked to know

I've seen a lot of topics coming along with the question if they can run this game. I just found that the site systemrequirementslab.com has added ArmA to their tests. Only one thing I have to add, I used this site before getting Oblivion and it said I didn't even meet the minimum, after some tweaking and the latest drivers I could play Oblivion at max! Test your rig here! PS: I searched the forum and have not yet found a topic with this, and most can I run it topics where closed so sorry if this is the wrong way to post this one.

Well, you almost got them all their, at least for me that is. I only like to add, that I LOVE the city architecture, the southern cities have really nice streets and are very detailed. Also I love the way the water is effect by the weather, but this was allready done in OFP:E

Sorry, not read anything but the first post. If that quote is true then something is fundamentally wrong. I've been playing pc games for fifteen years and not once has the minimum requirement been anything but that. Often less, but hey ho they have to sell games. If that site said you don't have the minimum to play and then you bought it and could play on max then you are being misinformed in a big way. Apols if I misunderstood. I must have added, that this was before this site had the CPU rating on it. Now my cpu get rated @ 2,6 while on the box it says it's a 1,7 GHz mobile CPU... That was one of the things where my notebook didn't meet the recommendations. And the same goes for my mobile GPU, the site has improved much on that part I guess. But please read more of the comments, you see that some meet recommended requirements who have trouble playing, and there are some with just the minimum and who can play it pretty smoothly, I'm one of them

If bushes and such are a big problem for your FPS go into your drivers control panel and search for something like 'Transparancy Antialiasing' change the setting to 'multisampling' instead of 'supersampling', for me it even works beter than setting it to 'none'. After this you will still have a slight drop but not as much as with the other settings, this works for me with a nVidia GeForce Go 6800

It could be that the FOV is not totally correct then, or it does not simulate the view from your eyes correct -

It calculates it to some sort of average. I have a mobile CPU at 1.78 GHz but I can play ArmA pretty good, it's rated at 2.6 GHz or something like that It's all easier to compare between the different CPU types

It's in the 'my documents/arma' or '/arma other profiles' folder edit: BTW, you all know that this DOES disable the use of AA with HDR same as in Oblivion

Hi Solus, About these screenshots, the first time I saw them I thought it was a bit off, now I wonder how this looks in motion and how long these dust particles stay on screen, because now it looks a bit to much and to big for a few bullets on impact. Also I was wondering if you are able to have the dust a bit more brownish or at least less white, I see no reason why there could be white particles from such an impact. I hope you understand what I mean by this, and I guess it's not easy to have the correct dust colour for every surface and such but I guess there should be a more generic colour then white for most area's. Good Luck with the project and I hope to see your next progress shots and such because you make amazing stuff -
looks scarry to swim in those waters so, more land animals and now water, any phterodactyls (sp?) for the sky?

SLX please just take your time as I know this will be looking great when it's finished, and thanks for answering my questions. I guess I will look into scripting some time as this would really open some new exciting area's for me. Those screenshots look great by the way. Is there any change in FPS with the SLX features? -

Man you really rule! How much work is this scripting thing? Beginning with learning it And how big tactical back-ground do you have? Or is this all just playing and testing to your liking? And how do you have to install this? Just mod-folder? How long must I have to await this precious thing -

We maybe have to record new voices, as voice acting in OFP(:R) was done by CM. I didn't check OFPE yet, the voices there are from BI. So it's not decided, but probably we're not going to add new voices. I can't say the OFP:E voice acting was of that quality that it would be a better alternative then recording it yourselfs Not all where bad though but there where some robots in the campaign who totally killed the atmosphere- 1061 replies

I had perfect sound ingame with both hardware accel and EAX activated, but after the latest Directx update it all went fubar, i'm having all sort of sound bugs. Strange artifacts, total silence, not working engine sounds, bullet sounds and such. With hardware accel disabled I have not yet have this problem but it still is strange maybe I should reupdate OpenAL but it still sounds strange to me are there any others who had this problem?

yep, its planned to carry the ladder on the back and deploy it where u want, but will it function on a roof to go down? it sounds really handy for spec-op and infiltration missions

Wow looks nice, can you place a ladder everywhere or only near buildings? I was thinking yesterday that such thing like this would be very usefull with roof insertions, as most of the best roofs don't have interiours

@Solus: I love to hear you are allready going to implement SLX into ArmA, what features will it have? I loved to play OFP with SLX but I completely removed OFP from my pc so I only have ArmA on it, for some more space and better performance. If you need some beta-testers for the ArmA config, please give me a shout
