A feature I'd like to see is less CPU intesive trees and forests. I have a mid range pc (or what ArmA considers to be mid range). The thing that makes me die with laughter is that i can have the view range to 10k, with 'high' settings for models, textures and AA, with low Postprocessing and shadows and shaders. With these settings i can get 35+ Fps with very litte effort. But as soon as i hit a forest it dies. I've try to tweak the settings to get better performance but with no luck. I'd like to see some new trees that dont kill your machine.

I would say it is, its far more reliable than the colt range of weapons (if you exclude HK's M4 take). And is nor far less sensitive to dust now unlike the american counterparts. Two main reasons they don't use it as a standard weapon would be: 1. Weight 2. Its ability to be customised is not as good as the Colt/Colt Canada weapons.

The SFW's replaced the Colt weapons outright afaik. There was a trial conducted by the SAS which pitted the SFW against the G36, the SFW won. The union jack needs to be made alot smaller if they wear it at all.

The SASR were more feared amoungst the Vietcong than the US SF were. Afaik they only lost one man in action (might be wrong). Which would be impressive even since they did only have a small force in the country at the time.

I think people mistake this mod as a mere port. I assume this is not the case? So Im thinking anything that would need to be inported would be remade from scratch or from existing but higher qaulity work than from the original release?

If thats how you feel, dont play it or come here to post. I'm loving every second of ArmA. I think people are forgeting how bug ridden ofp was when it came out. BIS managed to get it sorted it out in the end. I have every confidence in BIS.

How do you figure? I just stated its possible you could do such a weapons set up, and that is a not a good method of research to use a hollywood movie.

I am calm, I just find it flawed that he used a game and a movie to (neither were that accurate) to argue that such a weapon was not used. I say keep the current set up you have, looks good. Â

Just because it wasnt in the game or the movie does not mean there was not a soldier who used an aimpoint on an M16 during the time it happened. You are using a poor method of research if your just following what the game/movie says..

SLR's were only able to fire on semi-automatic and not bursts, though some were indeed modified to fire on automatic.

True we dont have swat we have S.A.S which is better the swat cos thay never get court or killed or hardly ever. S.W.A.T is a police unit the S.A.S is a military unit, our version of S.W.A.T is SO19 who are nowhere near as good as S.W.A.T but thats beside the point. Anyway good work mate. I woundnt say that... SO19 officers are trained to an extremley high standard.

as far as i know there are already plenty of hummers that would fit the bill and if you want rangers, HYK's newly updated infantry include 1993 rangers which you could use...

Not likely, I have been following the development of this for a while now, wasnt it first going to be a VBS1 Addon? Its been in the works before BF2 even cam out i think.
