I strongly agree as the last official patch is now almost 6 months old and since then BI have done a fantastic job of fixing countless bugs. While I'd give my right arm to have interpolation in MP, I think that its a very ambitious feature which probably requires a lot more development and testing. So until that great day which is the realease of interpolation in MP, how about an stop-gap release ? -

Gunter glad to see you're back. Can you explain why these addons should be removed? I'm curious because I'm still experiencing over-accurate AI and use some of these addons. -

OK so if I understand correctly your mod has a trigger that looks for the presence of slx_wounds.pbo and if it is detected then it disables your addon, right? -
Good to have you back! Try these tweaks: a) Make sure you're running the latest patch (1.10 for A2, 1.59 for OA). The betas offer some nice improvements too! b) Edit A2's config file (something like My Documents\ArmA2\Arma2OA.cfg), find AToC=7 and change it to AToC=0 c) Tweak OA's in-game Video Settings Visibility: 5000m <= has the biggest impact so try lowering as much as possible Interface: 100% 3D res: 100% Tex: Default Vid mem: Default Anisotropic: Normal Antialiasing: disabled <= if your eyes don't bleed, otherwise "Low" ? Terrain: Normal Objects: Normal Shadows: High HDR: Medium Post-proc: Low or even Off d) Try installing these mods to scrape a few fps without sacrificing too much eye-candy: - Oktane's noBlur - SAP Clutter - GDT grass - PROPER Vegetation Tweak Visuals - PROPER Buildings Tweak Visuals e) Clean out the crap - I recommend CCleaner as it's free, light and efficient f) Defrag what's left - I recommend Defraggler as it's free, light and efficient g) Minimise your services - Gamebooster is your friend h) overclock your CPU - your Phenom II X4 955 should easily be able to reach 3.6 GHz, probably 3.8 and maybe 4 with just air cooling

Dunno about you but that sounds pretty realistic to me. It would be even better if they scavenged for ammo or loaded weapons.

But that's precisely what I mean, i.e. I don't get the chance to click on the map - I request CAS and instantly the controller confirms my request, leaving me thinking "Oh sh1t! What coordinates is he using?" Sure enough, a few minutes later, hellfire rains down on my position reducing me, and often my squad too, to chum.

Has TPW released this Simple Breath Script? If so, where? Does it take into account environmental factors? e.g. temperature, humidity, wind, breather's fatigue, etc.

I seem to have a problem with airstrikes in that whenever I call one in I get killed because it lands on my position. Its as if when the operator asks for the target coordinates but it instantly transmits my coordinates. The only workaround that I've found is to open the map and move the cursor to wherever I want the airstrike and then contact the operator. In this case it instantly transmits my cursor's coordinates. It might sound weird but when I first started playing, I seem to remember that you clicked the map to transmit your coordinates. This was not only more intuitive but less lethal. This "instant" coordinate acquisition is very frustrating and rather dangerous. So does anyone have a workaround ?

Looking forward to it. We played a game of Insurgency last night and despite setting AI Accuracy to 0.2 a couple of hostiles took down half our squad with half a dozen shots, i.e. they were unbelievably accurate. -

Don't waste time working on this because: a) it is a relative problem (problem for some, not a problem for others) b) there already exist mods to disable this autozoom (PvP tweaks) Otherwise an amazing atmosphere! Loved those tunnels. They looked so natural. I could almost feel the heat and taste the sweat! -

The "big five" are now quite old so I'd suggest either picking individual mods to suit your style of play from a more recent list or trying this mod which combines the best mods into a single package. -

Thanks for being so transparent and diligent about this. I look forward to hearing back from you as this is pretty much the last aspect that needs tweaking. Other than, I'm very pleased with what CoWarMod has brought to the table. -
Just to let you know that last night I removed the mg_reload.pbo from my SLX folder because although the description in the readme sounds good "longer reload times for MGs" (despite recent improvements brought by patches, they still reload too quickly) I found that it removed the reload animation, thereby making the reload almost instant!

Good advice again from Pendragon. I'd just add: 1. Tweak your video settings: Viz: 3600m Tex: High Vid mem: Default Anio: High AA: High Terrrain: High Objects: High Shadows: Very High HDR: High PP: High 2. Edit your arma2oa.cfg and change AToC=7 to AToC=0 3. Install Oktane's noBlur mod 4. defrag your HDD 5. minimise your services 6. overclock your CPU These settings should allow you to enjoy great visuals AND fluid framerates.
