  1. Intro After using Arma for a long time and having my own dedicated server, I always found very hard to keep my mods up to date. So I used Flax's tool (FAST) to make the whole thing work but there was some issues. The software tend to be quite slow sometimes, some menus are not working completely and the command output was a bit weird. I ended up building my own version of his tool, since it is not maintained anymore, by translating the entire code into something more recent, fixed the issues I found and reworked the code behind. Download You can find the latest release below : 64 bits Version 32 bits is not supported for now. If you require a 32 bits version, contact the developer directly Extract the files somewhere on your computer and run FASTER.exe. I recommend creating a shortcut to avoid the hassle of having to find the program. Features General Features Improved UI from FAST Improved stability from FAST2 Easy to read and share config files SteamCMD Automation Install and update Arma 3 Server (Stable, Dev and Performance versions) Install, update and manage Arma 3 Workshop mods Supports Steam Guard and Mobile Authentification Import mod presets from Arma 3 Launcher Check for mod updates on app launch Multiple Server Profiles Save and load multiple server presets Supports all server config options Supports all server command line options Custom mission params Custom difficulty Headless Client support and auto launch Correctly displays mods in Server Browser Local Mod Support Reads local mods from server folder Include additional folders to search Automatic Updates Server status and performance viewer F.A.Q. For any question, please contact me on Twitter @FoxliderAtom or on Discord. Why ? FAST was already being reworked on with FAST2 but the project stopped since January 2019. I decided to create a rework myself. There is something wrong when ... Please create a GitHub issue ! It help me keep track of what happened and when it was fixed. It might also help others who have issues as well. Can you please add ... Uh yeah, maybe ! Create an issue on GitHub and I'll see if it's possible. Feedback Please report any issue you encounter while using FASTER on the GitHub Issue Page. Screenshots Notes Thanks to Flax for creating a really awesome tool for our Arma Servers. Thanks to BI for creating that game we all spend hours on.
  2. Hey y'all Sorry I have never answered I don't use the BI Forums at all and just remembered it was a thing. There is a Discord server though where loads of users share advices and help each other. I advise you look there for help or bug reports Load order is by default managed by Arma but you can force it. In the Profile there is a LOAD column. double click on it and you can set the order. When Importing a modlist from files, the mod order is forced according to the order in the mod file
  3. 'sup lads ! As a reminder I am NOT active on the BI forum and I advise you use the Discord server instead where we are much more active and a lot of people can help if I'm not around (also news stuff is posted there) Yup ! https://github.com/Foxlider/FASTER/wiki And : https://github.com/Foxlider/FASTER/wiki/Setup-Guide-(1.8) Nope because FASTER's code is getting old and is not compatible with scheduling features. KAST on the other end might be able to do that Nope, arma limitations

  5. Mind you I am not very active in the forums I am on the Discord server tho
  6. Yes It's OK as long as you don't update while playong Different keysets is not supported YET
  7. There is an issue with SteamCMD lately. You should try reinstalling it
  8. I am much more active on Discord than on the forum. I often miss notifications here but I'm always active on FASTER's discord server.
  9. This is due to a steamCMD limitation and there is nothing I can do to fix it. SteamCMD is simply unable to download more than 1Gb at a time. I am working on 1.8 to get rid of SteamCMD and switch to a new solution, fixing all issues, hopefully. No ETA sadly. I am having a lot of work with 1.8 release and still much to do before it's done and stable. But when it's out, all DLCs should be suupported. In the meantime, consider using the extra commandline arguments. Also, join the discord, the commuynity might find a solution to your issue
  10. @B.Miller THis is due to a Steam API limitation. You need to increase the value of the SteamProtocolMaxDataSize
  11. (also I hope the admins will pin this topic with the others like FAST2 and TADST)
  12. Sorry for the late reply @CRCError1970 I am much more active on Discord and rarely check the forums Headless limit should increase for next update (1.8). TBH, users rarely use that many HCs so I never thought I'd have to increase the limit
  13. This is not possible without a bit of tweaking. Depending on how the mission is using its database it might be even trickier. Usually, you'll wan to copy the ArmaProfile.vars file from the old profile to the new and rename it. Might work
  14. To answer that, intel says that the button was rarely used by very few users and was quite a buggy feature. I removed it to clear up the UI a bit. You can easily open your profile folder by right-clicking the profile name on the bottom since 1.7. If enough people require that feature again, I will add it back. I haven't see that feature on the wiki. I'll search that a bit and see about it. Should not be difficult to change tho Thanks for all that feedback !
  15. This is an issue I had a few times and yeah, I genuinely have no idea why. I managed to reproduce this bug but I think it's due to RDP. Maybe it's an error when converting the color of the profile names but IDK
  16. New MAJOR release today ! Update 1.7a Changelog : Added : UI Fixes NEW PROFILE SYSTEM FASTER_Maintenance module (check the wiki : https://github.com/Foxlider/FASTER/wiki) Load mods preset from html file into your profile Support of Arma3 Performance Branch Support of Folders ! Now you can load PBOs and Mission folders Support or OPUS Voice CODEX Modified Mod Keys behavior Network Config Presets Sort mods by ID or Name Fixed : Crash when adding a mod with a big ID (int maxValue overflow) Fixed some config glitches Fixed some network glitches NOTE : If you need a 32 bit version, contact me directly IMPORTANT NOTE : Please read the Wiki VERY IMPORTANT NOTE : You will lose all your profiles with this update if you don't run the FASTER_Maintenance Program. GitHub link
  17. ////// IMPORTANT /////// There have been a major delay in the release for 1.7 because of a few glitches that arrived a bit late. These have been fixed and it's been about a week with no bug reports so release should be arriving soon. MAKE SURE YOU READ THE WIKI ABOUT FASTER_Maintenance.exe FOR THE MIGRATION TO THE NEW VERSION OTHERWISE YOU MIGHT LOOSE YOUR PROFILES
  18. Update 1.7 also contains very important fixes about adding mods causing crashes
  19. Brace yourselves ! Tomorrow (or Saturday if I'm late) I will release FASTER 1.7 featuring the new Profile View and the FASTER Maintenance executable A migration procedure is in the latter to easily convert your old 1.6 profiles to 1.7 without losing any data The git repo have also changed : https://github.com/Foxlider/FASTER
  20. My least favorite bug ! From the Discord FAQ channel : 3. FASTER does not start anymore / keeps crashing ! Check in your logs if you are having issues about missing DLLs. The message should look like the following : System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'System.Something.I.Gess, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=blahblahblah'. The system cannot find the file specified. This is a known bug. FASTER files are extracted in the temp folder while running and windows likes to "clean" this folder. Current workaround is to set the DOTNET_BUNDLE_EXTRACT_BASE_DIR environment variable to some path such as C:\Users\your_user_name\Documents\Apps\FASTER (refer to #faq n°7 for this procedure). It should prevent Windows from deleting the files. 7. Wait, how do I change Environment Variables ? Search into your Windows Search bar for "Environment" Then Edit your System Environment Variables > Environment Variables... > New... and fill the information like so
  21. It's far from finished but the UI changed a lot and should be *roll drums* FASTER
  22. Sneak peak of the new profile ! For more updates and previews, head to the Discord server.
  23. Just a bit of news for you all ! There haven't been any update for a while for a good reason : I'm not dead (not that I know of, at least) but I'm actively working on a whole new profile system. The current system was a clusterfuck of code and functions doing too many things. It was all working with sticks and duct-tape. The new system is a lot more simple and feature a realtime save system to avoid losing your settings if something bad happens. Also a few more design novelties and improvements. You can go check the progress on Discord where I'm more active (link in first post).
  24. I think this is just related to SteamCMD. It's an error I get as well sometimes. Haven't had troubles though. Are you having issues downloading content ?
  25. It is planned. I'm having a shitload of work right now and don't have much time for FASTER. But it's a planned feature. I'm actually working on remarking the whole Profile system and its view so... Yeah. Lots of work and lots of rework
