5th Special Forces Group - Website: Website - TeamSpeak 3: 74.91.114.159 What is the 5th Special Forces Group? The 5thSFG is a Realism unit that strives to uphold the core values of the United States Army. Here, we run the unit just as the United States Army would with dedication and perseverance. We can provide everything you are looking for in a realism unit. We have active members and a committed command staff. With a large family of brothers. What you should expect as a 5thSFG member?: In the 5thSFG we believe that developing a strong sense of community and brotherhood goes a long way in maintaining the longevity and success of a unit. For this reason, we focus a lot of attention on developing these connections between our members. Mutual respect and the ability to work well and productively with others is a requirement of the 5thSFG. You will be surprised at how strong the bonds that you develop with your fellow soldier Men become. The 5thSFG utilizes a ranking structure similar to the US Army. Ranks and positions in the 1st are earned through hard work and dedication, not time and how many kills you get. Each rank in the 5thSFG comes with expectations. Our Corporals are expected to be able to lead and be outstanding role models for the rest of our men. Our Sergeants work hard to maintain order while at the same time helping to lead our men to victory in-game and out. Because we are selective (but fair) about promotions, each rank has underlying respect bound to it. As such, our men understand the position of their superiors and subordinates and grant them the respect of their rank. Officers are saluted and referred to as sir, and Sergeants and up are referred to by their rank, among many other things. First Step Into Becoming A Soldier In the 5th Special Forces Group: Enlistment is your first step toward becoming a member in the 5thSFG. One of the best parts about this unit is that we know real life comes first while still showing a commitment to the Unit. We require activity yes, but that activity can be shown in many ways, such as being active on our forums and training twice a week. Once you are a member in the 5thSFG, you'll be put though our Basic Training Course (BCT) which includes; Fire Team formations, range safety and weapons training, vehicle convoy, vehicle identification, dry runs and live fire exercises. Contact Information: Website -TeamSpeak 3: 74.91.126.238 Founding of the 504th The 504th Infantry Regiment, an ArmA 3 Realism Community, was founded in early 2019 by individuals who were tired of seeing the constant rise and fall of communities. Its founders were tired of the community vs community mindset and instead decided to rise above the fray in order to provide the most stable and conflict free unit possible. Its founding members consisted of people with large amounts of ArmA Realism experience, active military, and previous military. The 504th Environment The 504th features an environment focusing on quality realism. This while not using the Yes Sir, No Sir formalities, its members are still held to a standard of mutual respect. This holds extremely true in operations, training's, and unit meetings where ranking members are looked to for guidance and lead in a manner which earns the respect that is desired. All of the 504th members mean something and this is shown in the environment due to all members have a voice and a person designated for them to voice concerns, questions, etc too. When in an "off-period" there is a casual environment, but the mutual respect of all members is stilled carried out. What you should expect as a 504th member?: In the 504th we believe that developing a strong sense of community and brotherhood goes a long way in maintaining the longevity and success of a unit. For this reason, we focus a lot of attention of developing these connections between our members. Mutual respect and the ability to work well and productively with others is a requirement of the 504th. You will be surprised at how strong the bonds that you develop with your fellow soldier become. The 504th utilize a ranking structure similar to the US Army. Ranks and positions in the 504th are earned through hard work and dedication, not time and how many kills you get. Each rank in the 504th comes with expectations. Our Corporals are expected to be able to lead and be outstanding role models for the rest of our men. Our Sergeants work hard to maintain order while at the same time helping to lead our men to victory in game and out. Because we are selective (but fair) about promotions, each rank has an underlying respect bound to it. As such, our men understand the position of their superiors and subordinates, and grant them the respect of their rank. Officers are saluted and referred to as sir, and Sergeants and up are referred to by their rank, among many other things. Weekly Schedule (All Times EST) Sunday - Main Operation @ 20:30 Monday - Meeting Day Starting @ 19:00 Tuesday - Weekly Field Training Exercise @ 20:30 Wednesday - Off-Day (Server Will Be On Public Mission) Thursday - Mid-Week Operation @ 20:30 Friday - Off Day (Members Have Server Control) Saturday - School of Infantry @ 20:30 Game & Voice Servers Teamspeak Server: 74.91.122.197 ArmA 3 Game Server: 74.91.122.197:2302 What About The Age Limit? After debate, discussion, and learning from past experiences it was decided that the 504th would not have a formal age limit. The reason is that to say that any given 18 year old is more mature than any 13 year old is an unfair generalization. Therefore, the 504th will interview all applicants and a determination will be made on whether the individual is mature enough for the unit. Interested? If you are interested in joining or just have questions feel free to add a member of the Recruitment Staff and talk to them!
