    EDEN - Questions

    How do I toggle the isometric '2D' view in Eden? Sometimes it seems to change back and forth spontaneously, both in my game and in the few videos on Youtube. I see that Vertical Mode keybinding and menu option, but it doesn't actually do anything.
  3. Wouldn't it be simpler just to not enable the radio support option until later? I've seen an arty demo mission with this function, but it was for A2.

Congratulations. :lol: (Seriously, for years the consensus around here was that sway should be a predictable figure-8 that mimics breathing.)
  5. I keep getting failures and script errors when trying to bandage. Perhaps 1/3 of the time the bandaging option doesn't work, and I get the following RPT items instead. I just disabled all my other mods, and the problem persists. And while I'm on the subject, throwing grenades in VR floods my RPT log with this:

    So are we going to see A3's animation slowdowns come back at all? Those were the most marvellous feature. Take out the gasping sounds and weapon sway; I don't really care. They were impossible to balance and make immersive. But the progressively sluggish movement -- that's the whole ballgame.

  8. Thanks. I'm sure I disabled my mods, but then again BIS had to go and break what wasn't broken with ArmA 3. Mods have a habit of activating themselves now, regardless of what's in the command line, and infecting the vanilla game with their files.

I don't mean to be a dick, but I only see two scenarios here: 125 people have glitchy invisible tracers but can't be bothered posting in this thread to confirm it (hence helping fix the bug); or 125 have perfectly normal tracers and are too lazy to do me the courtesy of telling me that the problem is on my end. Well?

    So what the fuck reason do I have not to just go tactical pace everywhere, and run across the entire map looking down the sights of my MMG? The only reason not to use tactical pace with my MMG, is that sometimes I'll need to pause and fire off 4 rounds from my Titan Compact. Balls.

    Does the T-90's dazzler work yet? When I looked at a T-90 that has just used its dazzler in FLIR, there's nothing visible. The smoke grenades and screens are pretty awesome, though. Edit: Wow, I just realized that none of the US infantry wear body armor by default. I assume this was done for balance?

    I only hope that the fatigue system can be easily re-enabled by modders. The ACE team is obviously overworked, and shouldn't have to waste time correcting this sabotage.

    This if the first time I can remember that BIS has betrayed its own ideals, both in its vision for the series and in treatment of the community.
  14. Did ACE remove the subtitles from giving orders to AI? If so, that was a bad move, fixing what wasn't broken from A2. When I'm controlling AI in SP (yes, some of us do use ACE in SP), I need to be able to get feedback on the orders I've given. Sometimes this is critical. If I use the switch unit feature, I need to hear if the newly-controlled AI team leader has given some retarded command. Please return the subtitles for the silent orders and radio messages to/from AI. It was a perfect system.

    Holy balls, guys. I leave for a few months and the amount of content enters orbit. This is gobsmacking. The line of vehicles in the demo mission goes farther than my view distance. And the ERA blocks? That shit is groundbreaking. Also the best nuke FX I've seen (although I did seem to get one dud where the flare went off, but only two buildings were destroyed, with no mushroom cloud). Best of all for me is the armor stuff, though. You're recreating the most important part of ACE 2, with turrets popping off and everything.

    The ONLY thing the fatigue system needed to be 100% player-friendly was Dyslexci's fatigue meter. Seriously. He made that mod in about 30 seconds. And it even looked better than the PoS we have now.
