There is still M6 Linebacker and detached MANPADs teams. Well,thats the reason why US AA and Artellery vehicles stuck into 60-70is. Yet prototype/concept stage.Might die unborn.And there is a lot of reasons for this.- 16550 replies

Soviet planes usually narrow specialised.While many US planes of 80th era can be used in multirole by addition of external equipment,like targeting pod. 9-13S only able to use only unguided Air-Ground rockets and unguided bombs.While both F18 and F16s able to use anti-radar missile or maveriks. Still doesn't solve problem of compatibility.Such things I described above isn't essential if you playing casual scenarios against AI.Still it became important,when you start playing PvP scenarios. Because of that some mods gives you advantages over other players or just ruin the game. As examples: 1)Im wiped out 8 mans with HLC AKS-74U,my opponents had RHS weapon.Just because lesser recoil and higher damage in this mod. 2)BMP-2 from 'Don't remember mod' was indestructable to RHS RPGs.7 hits,they wasn't even scratched. Such comments protect mod-makers feelings,I know that,but still when you start playing such issues gets you annoyed.So there is 3 ways to solve this: 1)You use only A mod.And forgot forever for variabilities,which can be given by using multiple mods 2)You make patch for B mod which makes it compatible with A mod.Or just crack B mod and edit it,if patch isn't possible(Yeah,I know avoiding EULA,still lots of people doing that,just nobody knows). 3)You use A and B mods together without any edits and suffer.- 16550 replies

Nah... Im too sober to understand jokes.Im deadly serious.If someone begs for death after hard work day,I'll help himto die. But thats ok,I forgive you. Im not talking about overlaps,im talking about overall compatibility. Situation when armor from A mod makes you invictible to weapon from B mod and vice versa.When weapon have same magazines,but you still can't use it.When the same weapon from diffirent mods sounds diffirent and have diffirent recoil.- 16550 replies

1)Telling people what to do is annoying.It killing motivation.Also - good food for trolls :P 2)Can't disagree,implement of Mk.xx would be definitely nice.Reasons,why this not ingame yet,I don't know. 3)You always may offer your help to match this guns to RHS level(Sounds,ajusts,ammo etc).And then send it.Maybe it will be in next release.Basically you only have to rewrite configs,it's not so hard. You know why... Forget about standartization between diffirent mods.Usually people,who interested in standartization just crack the mods and modernise it(!). When people understand abstract things literally... As for me - current ArmA modding community like early UNIX community.Everyone want their own stuff with...- 16550 replies

Not simulator at all.Yes,way much complicated than arcades,but not simulator. Real world is way much complicated compared to ArmA. Game is good... for some players... I know,some games better than ArmA in many aspects,like RO/RS series for Infantry gameplay or BF2's Project Reality mod for amaizing gamemode. Still can't find alternative for ArmA-series... it's a sandbox,which makes you creativity flows by using their main advantage today - the mission editor.Cuz not much games have such tool today.

Hello.I've in mood to make models again,so now I've trying to satisfy my gun maniac addiction. I've trying to do not start this thread untill it's actually will be done... but im stuck.Since IRL I had access only to AK-74M,I have no idea about tinny AR details. So despite model looks good(But not perfect,trust me),I still have think they have incorrections.So I would be appreciated for any info about it as well as guides to improve it's quality. Right now I have only M16A1,but Carabines(based on THIS receiver) and UGLs are planned,probably even bayonets. HP Renderers: Hope I'll finish this,but still,I have lots of things todo IRL,so don't expect it too soon.

Much likely hidden depression... sadly but it was found after one terrible event... I have left palm damaged. Something like nerve cut,painfull as hell and I didn't feel my little finger,well lucky my palm still active. I trying to stay away from using keyboard as much as I can now cuz it's slightly painful. Still not finish UVs,cuz lack of time and situation above... -

Short answer is no,If we talking about IR-guided missiles.At least for old ones... But seems like new ones,used in Syria have this active countermeasures.Look at tail,2 rounded modules.- 16550 replies

Indirect hit,as mentioned before.Important places are quote good armored against fragmentation and itself it's qoute solid helicopter.Solid enough to survive a frag grenade explosion inside and keep flying... true story.Didn't saying it's immortal,but still,solid enough. btw... direct hit... Much likely luck... meh,there was some sort of old cobra. The problem of heatseeking manpads for this 'automatic countermeasures' is heatseeking missiles are passive.They hard to spot.The only one helicopter,where this might work is a Apache Longbow,if radar is switched on. Enabled radar are also not always good option in combat,because it's makes easier to spot your location.- 16550 replies

quick weekly update... seems now I can into baking.Not really masterpiece,after 2d polishing it could be fine I think. -
There was side mission in campain(Night diversion) with Ka50,they patroling air.Also there was single scenario with full airfield of Ka50,something like conquer pita and masbete. Actually campain allow you to play helicopters and tanks only at the end... I never forget that nightmare,when you had to destroy 3 BMP2 using only one TOW carrier...

Actually not really too ancient equipment and vehicles compared to north korea.Just BIS do like make such mistakes in both ArmAs before - in one hand we have Ka50,Su34 and so on,in another - Cold war era equipment. Well,usually fixing this is a mod makers job... :P

a)Not a copies.It's developed separately.Just looks similar.Not even closer for characteristics.As example - swedish one equipped with 20mm cannon by default. b)M113... successful design... seriously?Even US army use this only as utulity vehicles in HCBT. SLA in ArmA1 was inspired by soviet army... There was an soviet belt equipment system,steel helmet and sort of 6b2 armor.It's unacceptable for modern times,might be used for reserve service,but not really for modern warfare. Agree here,PASGT or it's clones is a solid solution.

According to this statement - Russian army is modern,but have stocks of outdated equipment.while US army is "modernizing" cuz uses 70-80 era vehicles,update to modern standarts. Talking of this... ex-pact vehicles doesn't really have reserves for modernisation.There is lots of weapon modules,which increases vehicles firepower,but there is no armor enhacements.

if they wasn't spotted.Dropping flares per time seriously reduce threat from heat seeking missiles. Kobras BTW doesn't really have any armor and it was direct hit.Mi-8 and Mi-24 often survive indirect hit,enough for at least emergency landing and this actually is worst case. On gif we have indirect hit. Much likely problem not with damage,but need proper mechanic,turn radius for example.- 16550 replies
