I had same issues on Altis. Ran MP last night w ALiVE, CBA,and CSAT Modifications w no issues on Stratis. Altis is a mess. Stratis seems ok. -

I second the "stop" command suggestion. It is rather annoying/hilarious seeing our squad running around like chickens trying to chase down Civs. That would be a welcome addition for sure. -
Yup, Terminator senses/accuracy are back in full effect at night again. Just did more testing with vanilla units. No moonlight, in the middle of the woods, enemy AI has no night vision or flashlights.....my guy doesn't move or shoot....I get shot at. This occurred at 50 yards, 100 yards, even 200 yards away. I guess I'll be running day missions for the foreseeable future.

Anyone else notice the AI has Terminator vision after the 1.48 ARMA update? I just got finished testing with a Spec Ops unit vs a poorly equipped African Milita group from Massi's African Conflict mod. In pitch black darkness and with no NVGs, the AI Militia was shooting at me from 70-80 yards away and I hadn't run, fired a shot, etc. Didn't seem this bad before. Anyone else experience this?

I was playing around with the Spook sample editor and I'm attempting to get the Submarine to move somewhere. 1. I request the Sub. 2. I fly out to the Sub. 3. I swim next to it and board the Sub. From that point it shows the map then it shows me below a sub interior that appears to be floating in the air about 20 feet above my head. How do you get into the Submarine? How do you tell the Sub where to go? How do you get in the SDV afterward and leave the Sub? Looks like a pretty cool concept otherwise.

Anyone who gives ALiVE a real chance never goes back. It's the single biggest game changing mod out there, especially for mission builders. It also saves a ton of FPS with the virtualizing of 100s of units in and out of actual space. All of my missions on Steam use ALiVE. Glad to see Spoon mod works with it.

**IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT CBA/ALIVE** Hey guys, Since I know other folks have had the same issue, I'll post this. DO NOT USE THE CBA ON STEAM WORKSHOP WHEN USING ALiVE. The reason being...you need to move the enable_xeh_auto.pbo and it's bisign from the optional folder to the add on folder in order to have Civilian Interaction work with the Aggressors, Leights, and Massi's Civs. If you use the CBA on Steam..what ends up happening is that the CBA "resets" everytime you start up ARMA...removing that pbo and disabling the Civ interaction menu in ALiVE. Instead...download the CBA manually off of Armaholic, etc. That way the pbo will stay in the addon folder and the interactions will work perfectly. It took me forever to figure out why it was happening. I wanted to get the info out to others. -

Ok..so I have a question to everyone in regards to the above. I did the following and sure enough...Leights Opfor Civilian groups work perfectly as far as having all the interaction options (Arrest, Search, Talk) Vanilla Civilian groups also work great. However, as of the latest ALiVE and ARMA updates...both Massi's African Civilians and the CA Aggressor Civilian groups (Middle East and African) are NOT allowing me to interact with them. No Search option, no Question option, etc. Now I went back and loaded some of my missions using those groups from previous ARMA and ALiVE versions and they work fine. But anything that I either A)edit then save or B)create from scratch with the latest ALiVE and ARMA versions....no dice. Is anyone else able to successfully use the Massi's African Conflict civs and/or the CA Aggressor Civs (Middle East and African) and interact with them? This is with ALiVE version 9.9, the latest CBA and the latest ARMA version. If so...is there a PBO I'm missing or some other issue I may have missed? Once again...Vanilla and Leights Civs work great. Massi and Aggressors Civs don't work at all with interaction options. -
So I've been racking my brain trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong in order to get something I imported into the game to play in 3D. I'm fine with having my custom music, sounds work in 2D (ie always on the player location) yet when I name an object (speaker1 for example) then put on the trigger (speaker1 say3D "sound"). Nothing happens. If I set a stock in game sound as the say 3D sound then it works perfectly. So why are my custom sounds music working perfectly in 2d space but only stock sounds/music working for me in 3d space. Hey guys, So I've noticed some "oddities" the last few weeks. When I make my ALiVE missions, I typically used the debug/profile options in the Admin actions of ALiVE to see how things are spawning AND I use Zeus to fly around the map to see how units are spawning, civilians are moving around, etc. Here's the thing....I've noticed that both civillians AND purely infantry units of all types (RHS Escalation, Massi's units, Leights units) don't show up on the Zeus "active list". What I mean is....when I look at the list on the left hand side while I'm looking around in Zeus...I can see all vehicles and their crews in the list and they have either the Red or Blue icon over them as well. But the actual foot soldiers...no icon at all. They are still there...and they are walking around, etc. But they are not a part of the list on the left side of the screen. Same thing with civilian and CQB units...they will show up if I physically zoom in on them, but it's hard to find them when I don't see any icons popping up. Animal icons show up (fish, rabbits, etc.)...but no individual human units. Anyone else experience this? Any ideas on what is causing this? The units are being shown as "spawning in" but it's almost like Zeus doesn't recognize them. This is pretty much across the board on all types of modded units, RHS Escalation, Leights Opfor, Massi's units, etc. -

ALiVE works great on all the Iron Front maps, Sahrani maps, Chernarus, Takistan, Isla Duala, Imrani Island -
Just giving props to an awesome unit pack. Works great in every mission I use one these units. Good stuff!

I'm having trouble getting these factions to spawn with ALiVE. I put the correct faction names in..but when I preview the mission, no units will spawn. Anyone else have this issue? -

FYI...I'm currently working on several Iron Front ALiVE missions that I hope to have up this week. (For anyone who hasn't picked up Iron Front to convert into ARMA yet, it's 12 bucks on steam right now. I'd HIGHLY recommend grabbing it.) Operation Reciprocity (4 part campaign in Southern Sahrani): Dictator Farrah Al Madeed is attempting to take control of the small island nation of Southern Sahrani. The United States, unable to declare war outright against Madeed, use covert operations to help the local RACS forces defeat Madeed and his army. Your SEAL team will perform covert missions such as destroying aircraft/radar installations, assassinating a former Spetsnaz arms dealer, and destroying a dirty bomb. I just jumped into one of my ALiVE battles with Zeus and scanned the battlefield. The new ASR AI is definitely noticeable in regards to troops going into buildings. There is a substantial increase in the number of occupied buildings by AI troops..so much so that I may not need to place as many CQB ALiVE modules in my future missions as the standard spawning units are doing a great job of taking up residence inside of buildings and fortifications. Solid work sir.

Play3D sound....what am I doing wrong??

I did. I actually tried it with both setups as well...first as setting my sound as Music...then I tried it as Sound to see if I would have anymore luck. Again...they work perfectly when I have them play as a standard 2D sound...but nothing happens when I set them up for 3d. But I know my 3d commands are correct because if I test it with a stock sound from the game...the 3d sound works perfectly. It's driving me nuts as I would love to add some custom news on the radio, etc. in my missions. -

What is your "go to" combat mod list/combo (MP and/or SP)

Personally, our MP group uses ASR AI, which we love. Only thing missing is something like a TPW Falls added that makes targets who are hit fall down rather than just flinch when taking a round. I use ACE 3 with ASR AI in SP and really like that combo. What do yall use in both single player and when running with your own online groups? -
