Conection failed - (help!)

Hey, i have original Arma2 and Arma2 OA and im playing well on all servers with my friends, just my friend is using his older PC as server and my another friends play there without any problems, but i cant conect because i get message "connection failed". He also cant conect to my server, because he get same message. Ping: average 109 = playable. So what could it be? :confused:

Check to make sure the ports are not blocked and you have same version. Your not the first to have this issue. Do a search and you might find other answers to your problem.

Thanks but which ports must be opened?

I already checked another themes and it dont helped me much because most of them had game on Steam and it was the problem

And yes ofcrs i have same version...

Firewall issues

By default the Armed Assault/ArmA 2/ArmA2:OA server is reporting to Gamespy and it also uses the Gamespy server to negotiate a NAT traversal. If this does not work reliably for you (e.g. when running behind very strict firewall), you may need to open and/or forward following incoming ports:

port UDP (used for game)

port+1 UDP (used for server reporting)

port+3 UDP (used for VoN transmissions)

Following outgoing ports need to be open as well:

port UDP (used for game)

port+3 UDP (used for VoN transmissions)

Default value of port is 2302, but you may change it by -port command line argument.

Probmel fixed. Firewall wasnt problem omg it was always off. If it would be firewall problem i couldnt conect any server but i couldnt conect only to one server (of my friend)

maybe his problem he opened a game another arma and he is trying to connect ;)

this is annoying on forum when some ppl think they were clever and write: Close firewall, close antivirus, download new patch etc... from clever they are going to looks stupid

Problem is unkown yet. We tried to fix it 2 days all the time and today i conect with np. I asked friend and he said today he didnt anything. Probably he had some provider problem.
