Should be included as default in OA.

Excellent feature of ACE.

useless thread

Why is this a useless thread? Maybe some people want a weapon rest without having to put up with a restrictive fatigue system. Not everyone has to love ACE, no matter how good its claimed to be.

I like a lot of the other features, but I would stick to vanilla OA (with a few addons here and there) if they added this. Between multiple optics and range adjustments, this would be the icing on the cake.

But you can't have everything.

Untrue. BIS has released some updates that I would classify as features in the past.

Agreed. The AH-64 Apache and the new recoil system are perfect examples.

* ah64 = content not feature

* recoils = this has been requested from A2 release, especially since A1 had it.

It is said to be there in the upcoming patch (71752 changelog), not available in 71749 or 1.7 patch (which equals 71750). We'll see about that when such this is released.

Can't really compare apples with pies in my opinion.

To get me straight, i would love such a feature in the vanilla game.BUT what i would do instead of endlessly talking about it in the forums, would be to open a new ticket over CIT - dev heaven (if it isn't already one) and vote on it

With respect, he didnt talk about it endlessly on the forums. He posted a suggestion on the suggestions thread. Suggestions dont need to be ticketed as bugs or issues.

With same respect, CIT does support features as well, besides bugs and alike. The main real advantage is that you will most likely get a reply from BI representative with an answer to it

Didn't know that and I take your point Pufu. But I would also like to think that the devs look at the suggestions thread as well. Anyway 'nuff said, weapons rest in vanilla would be great.

From ArmA:

-Warfare - no engine modifications, but definately a feature

-Support for multiple runways - I would call it a feature

-More flexible weapon optics - enabling optics to point in directions other than down the bore, necessary for GL sights

Plus a few other minor things that I can't recall but I'm positive they exist. I never said they were really significant features, but around the same scope as weapon resting (or at least they way I imagine BIS implementing weapon resting).
