ck911 10 Posted June 25, 2010 (edited) For me there is no advantage or better RAM usage with this beta :-( ARMA2 is still using max. 900MB RAM. My Rig is Core7 920, 6 GB DDR3, GTX285. Running Windows 7 x64 Is there any Startup Parameter to set to get more RAM Usage?? Edited June 25, 2010 by ck911
[kh]jman 49 Posted June 25, 2010 (edited) I'm running the PC with the HT turned off. I wonder if I could turn it back on again and not suffer from those awful CTDs that I had last year prior to turning off my Hyperthreading? Hi guys with these latest beta patches can HT be turned on? Yes. It should default to 4 cores if it autodetects a quad core anyway but I explicitly set it. Set the -cpucount=4 switch and it all runs smooth. @the chief: Before the betas when I had HT on I just got the stutter issue not CTD's... perhaps you have some other issue such as an unstable overclock for example?. Zorg_DK 10 Posted June 25, 2010 The only problem I've noticed with this beta is that my M16 stayed in low lod in 3rd person. It looked fine in 1st person. Didn't notice lod problems on buildings.

Serclaes 0 Posted June 25, 2010 In Germany you can buy OA in some Media Markt and Saturn stores. I know some of our unit already bought it. I doubt there is a way before there are beta patches specifically for OA.
Nephris1 10 Posted June 25, 2010 Operation Arrowhead = OA Got me copy today, but the latest version isnt the same as the latest beta of course! As i am riding a beast of 64bit i would like to run the latest beta, to check improvements even in OA.

Richey79 10 Posted June 25, 2010 (edited) I'm guessing they'll wait until shortly after OA's general release and then, once they've squashed as many peope's CTD issues as possible, they'll release 1.06 for A2 and 1.01 for OA. They won't want to start betas for OA for a while, I shouldn't think, as Bis traditionally remove the copy protection with the beta patches. Edit - Bis move faster than I think! http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=100895 Edited June 25, 2010 by Richey79
jpinard 10 Posted June 27, 2010 For those asking about whther you should turn hyperthreading on or off I'm not going to re-link all the stuff I already wrote, but unless you're doing massive database stuff or working for Pixar - turn it off. You're overtaxing your cpu for a net loss unless you're underclocking your cpu.
