Fox '09 14 Posted June 19, 2010 was told this was a z-sorting issue and could be fixed.. searched and couldn't find anything (probably used the wrong keywords :o ) how would i fix this?
namman2 0 Posted June 19, 2010 it's a uv problem AFAIK just select the sign and mirror on x (from points>transform 2d >mirror on x) and then press "w"
-martin- 10 Posted June 19, 2010 (edited) By looking at the screen shot I see that your models faces have been reversed, to fix this select the whole model by pressing CTRL + A and then press the W button on your keyboard and preview in Bulldozer. Let us know how you get on, if it doesn't help I still have one trick up my sleeve But why are you making a stop sign, there is one in ArmA 1 sample models which is a MLOD so it can be edited and two in ArmA 2 which are not available in MLOD at the moment. Fox '09 14 Posted June 19, 2010 (edited) thanks! all sorted By looking at the screen shot I see that your models faces have been reversed, to fix this select the whole model by pressing CTRL + A and then press the W button on your keyboard and preview in Bulldozer.Let us know how you get on, if it doesn't help I still have one trick up my sleeve But why are you making a stop sign, there is one in ArmA 1 sample models which is a MLOD so it can be edited and two in ArmA 2 which are not available in MLOD at the moment. I know, but this is just an extra in a pack of us objects. edit: one more issue, textures appear in the inside of the model on my barricade.. looks fine in 3ds.. namman2 0 Posted June 19, 2010 that's probably as Martin said the model is reversed (wrong normals when exporting to 3ds maybe?) so just select the model and press "w"

max power 21 Posted June 19, 2010 thanks! all sortedI know' date=' but this is just an extra in a pack of us objects. edit: one more issue, textures appear in the inside of the model on my barricade.. looks fine in 3ds..[/quote'] Before exporting from 3ds you should reset the transform. Make sure you break all hierarchy links and select your mesh. On the side panel go to Go to tools=>Reset Xform. Then, on the side panel, go to edit, and collapse the reset xform modifier. After that your model may seem inside out or what have you. Once you fix that the source mesh should export properly.
