Question about a scenario i saw on youtube.

I'm new to ArmA 2, i've played OFP a lot back in the days (incl. the expansion packs).

My pc couldnt handle the first ArmA game, but a few months ago i bought a new laptop.

I never thought of playing ArmA, until i saw this movie:

And i was just blown away by how amazing it looks.

So i bought the game yesterday and i really enjoy playing it.

But i've got the following question:

I'm not very good at the editor, to say the least :cryy:

So i was wondering if the scenario from the youtube movie was available for download?

Maybe someone here knows of a similar scenario?

Thx in advance and sorry for my spelling since i'm Dutch.

I don't know what mission it is but the guy who made it was in our clan for some time. Maybe I can ask him when I see him around.

i think he made that scenario for himself using the editor. He is also using a user made island "Island Panthera" i think. He is creating lots of good videos, and he's got the computer to make them look good aswell:p

To make missions in the editor you will learn alot by hanging out in the "Mission editing and scripting" section of the forum, that is where i learned to make missions. You will also find out that most of the scenarios you already have planned in your head will be possible to make, even how far fetched they may seem;)

But to find similar scenarios you can browse the downloads sections of http://www.armaholic.com

I've already browsed www.armaholic.com, but couldnt find it, or something similar.

I'm not handy with pc's so i cant make one myself, actually bought this pc for work.

But i couldnt resist to play ArmA on it (and l4d 2:rolleyes:)

That's one of Richiespeed13's videos. He's a forum member (and official "pied piper" of ArmA2 thanks to his videos).

Send him a PM and ask about the mission (Richiespeed13). He's a great guy and I bet he'll point you in the right direction.

Actually I am fairly sure that island is Sahrani not Panthera. At least thats what the video tag says.

I've downloaded mbush and the 15 original OFP scenario's like battlefield, ground attack etc.

It's been a long time since OFP, but with ArmA 2 my social life is officially over....again.

ive made some, just click my signature. But if you want better scenarios than mine there is alot out there. Bardosys "chesty puller" campaign and his "pirog" campaign, Zipper5's WIP campaign "Operation Cobalt" which is downright cinematic quality!:D. W0lles OFP conversions are amazing(oh the nostalgic feeling<3) If you use ACE there are probably terabytes of scenarios out there. I dont use ACE so i dont know so much about that, but it is a very popular modification.

I played your "all along the watchtower" scenario and liked it alot. liked the whole vibe of the level, the rain and thunder, the fact that it isnt to hard, that you're not in charge and off course the xm8 :)

allso tried the cobalt and chesty puller campaigns and i liked them too. 'specially cobalt, its nice to play as a russian for a change.

I'll check out the other scenario's you've made later and to be honest i'm also curious about the campaign you're working on.
