ralphwiggum 6 Posted April 16, 2002 @Schweitzer heh heh heh...i know that German Police(Polizei) buy German manufactured autos...! but considering that MB,BMW,Audi, Porsche are one of the most distinguished cars in world, they are expensive. And cops get to drive those great cars! Here in Los Angeles, CA, USA, cops drive either Ford Crown Victoria, or Chevy Caprice(which is now out of production). But I've seen some BH(Beverly Hills) officers drive Chevy Suburban. I also saw cops driving a Ford Mustang(the fast car) and speaking of Ford Crown Victoria, it's not that bad of a car. ralphwiggum 6 Posted April 16, 2002 Avon, could it be that NHTSA's numbers are not counting the fact that there are less female underage drivers? If you look at number of accidents from underage group(under 18), they are one of the most problem-prone group of ppl, causing more accidents than any other age group. and within that age group, there are more male drivers than females. Anything can be proven with statistics, and like Albert Schweizer said, the 'women are better drivers' are derived from insurance statistics. Women may be safer drivers, (When blokes claim on the insurance its usually because the front of the cars been torn off after hitting a bend at 100mph), but it doesn't mean they are better drivers. This is on average though, I know some great female drivers, and some blokes who have nearly killed me certain occasions. As for female parking, yes its pretty terrible (Imagine pinball), but the female brain doesn't automatically turn the wheel in the right direction when they reverse. This has to be learnt and engrained in the brain. Oh and the next time you bloody women use my car as a bumper when your parking, don't just shrug your shoulders and walk off! "It has been seen that some foreign women drive cars in the cities, which is against Afghan tradition and has a negative impact on the society," said the letter issued on May 24. "Therefore, you (foreign ministry) are requested to inform the relevant foreign aid agencies that in future foreign women must not drive cars and must observe the tradition of our country and abide by the regulations of the Islamic Emirate," it added. DodgeME 0 Posted April 16, 2002 Talibans are wise!!! Anyway that action was wise. And everyone shall agree with me. I know some good women drivers. Both of my cousins are very good drivers are careful?!?!?!??!!? Not such word in their dictionary. My first cousin drivers very fast and her parking was nice on our way to the house. My other cousin is a psycho. On my trip to London she was driving like mad. She even passed over those small round-abouts that are in small streets in London(Brits should know) Anyway in general though they suck. I have been very irritated by the way they drive. One of my mates though is da worst male driver ever. Almost runned over me 3 weeks ago when he thought l was in da car and he accelerated. Almost got my foot runned over!!! Avon Lady seems calm but she is hiding smt she might start shouting and stuff. I am going to hide. Heck they might invade Cyprus for this...OMFG better run!!! IceFire 0 Posted April 16, 2002 I know about bad women drivers. My mom is horrible at it and she know's it. She cannot park for shit. Everytime she tries she winds up scratching something. Now she says that she will never drive again. If she is in the states, not at her post, then I will drive for her. Other wise, she just goes with a hired driver.
