stk2008 14 Posted April 7, 2010 Hi all I know I have said about this before but it realy is starting to pee me off now. This AI warping is terrible makes snipeing near impossible at long ranges. Before any one says its my connection its not its been a problem since ARMA 1 even OFP if I remember. I heard there is a thing I can modify in me user config or online config to help a little could some one post how to here please. Is BIS able to fix this I am thinking no or they would have done. cheers all BTW ARMA rules woooooooot
Jack_Ryan_ 10 Posted April 7, 2010 Does it "warp" in SP or just MP? Does it warp in multiplayer when you host a game, or just when you connect to others? Might help to know if its your machine, or connection-related.
galzohar 31 Posted April 8, 2010 AI warp because of a combination of bad netcode and bad server settings and/or the bandwidth to handle the settings that are required to (greatly) reduce that issue. There are quite a lot of threads discussing this already in great detail.
stk2008 14 Posted April 8, 2010 hi there its not my pc nor is it my internet. I have low ping etc I know its arma2 as its been this way since OFP days. I am mainly asking could one be so kind as to link me to that fix. I have looked but cant find it any where. If I remember to help a little with this warping you had to modify a few things in a file but cant remember what file and what to modify hehe. Cheers all. P.S Hope this AI thing is fixed in the new ArrowHead
terox 316 Posted April 8, 2010 warping effect is managed by the server config value for "minerrortosend" server cfg value for "MinErrorToSend" has the greatest effect on warping. Setting too low a value causes jip lag, setting too high a value causes excessive warping In addition high ping values to the server and low bandwidth will also have some effect oh btw, snipers tend not to shoot at moving targets :-) so warping shouldnt even come into it
stk2008 14 Posted April 8, 2010 I know snipers tend to go for stationery targets but this is arma and you try to take out as many as poss :P hehehehehe. yes you are correct thats the items you have to change now i remeber. where is the file with them values in cheers.
