galzohar 31 Posted April 4, 2010 You would have to pretty much reprogram it.
ScorpionGuard 10 Posted April 4, 2010 (edited) If I were to reprogram ArmA II, porting over to ArmA III. With the platform accessing 6 core processors and more RAM. Would the number of players plus AI increase in numbers that would be able to be slotted on one map? Are do I have to license under a branch of BI? Let’s call it BIV. The end product being that the AI has more capable functions such as realistic tactics, batter pathfinding, etc. Edited April 4, 2010 by ScorpionGuard
NoRailgunner 0 Posted April 8, 2010 A hooray for: AI clipping through walls, walking through vehicles and crawling over each other with vehicles, refusing orders by leaders and getting stuck in "danger-loop" and crappy voice-report system etc ?? Should we speak about the incredible flying + air combat/support skills of the AI? Or should we speak about that the AI still cant use all the roads even if they are set on safe/careless? For sure the AI in a open world has much more to calculate/analyse than in a shoebox-shooter area. But this is an poor comparison anyway. Ambitious games need more time for betatests and fixing bugs+issues before release. But time is money - so devs are in a vicious circle.
