kio 10 Posted March 17, 2010 I´m using a packard bell computer with 8gb of ram ,an nvidia geforce 9200 video card and an AMD athlon 64x2 dual core procesor of 2.60 GHz but the game dont work well...work very slowly,so slowly that if i enter at one room...at multiplayer mode...the AI units running go faster than me driving a car... why can be?? I have also two computers which i wanted to use for editing...but...it are less advanced than the packard bell...(sis mirage grafic video card with 128 mb and 512mb of ram the old computer and an acer asphire with 1gb of ram and a video card like the old computer,a bit more advanced but whithout cd reader) I tryed to start buldozer from the old...but it says that there are not pixel shader 2.0 support and I cant try it on the laptop because i cant use the DVD. I only want those computers for editing ...not for playing...so i dont mind...if the game dont go...i only want to edit addons from those computers. I have tryied to use swiftshader and other pixel shader emulators but still dont working any suggestions??

Zipper5 74 Posted March 17, 2010 Both of your computers have far too weak graphics cards. You will need to upgrade those if you want to stand any chance of having ArmA II run decently on them. What operating system are you using?

W0lle 1050 Posted March 17, 2010 The only real suggestion is to get rid of these totally outdated graphic cards and replace them with actual ones. Sorry but that is the only solution, editing or not the game won't run on a 128MB SIS Mirage card.
Flash Thunder 10 Posted March 17, 2010 Kio upgrade to at least a 9800 GTX and/or Ati's equivalent. (this will also give you the most up to date SHADER models 4.0) And maybe overclock the cpu to 3.0ghz The memory usage goes really quickly seeing if you have a 2KM viewdistance you'll have at least 200 trees on screen and around the 2KM area. Download GTD's plant mods and Kjus Proper Tweaks, all of them this will give you a 5-10FPS boost from my experience. Disable AF and Post Process both are very heavy on resources. Hope this helps you.
